My husband took me here for my birthday. We tried their 'famous' pepper stake. It was ok, but not worth the price tag. Glad we went so we could say we've been there, but probably won't go back again.

Meat and seafood are their specialties. The Apps are amazing, almost a meal to themselves. Portions are large, you will likely leave with a togo container. Plan ahead and save room for dessert. Like fine wine? Ask about their wine cellar, really!

All items on the menu are excellent, particularly the steaks , which are cooked to perfection. Halibut also is always good. No reservations accepted and it is usually very crowded, so get there early.

Kind of a upper end casual setting - a bit funky but the food was good and the dishes around us all looked good.

Drove up to have dinner Wednesday night and the place was closed. So, I called and there is a message that they close annually for two months; mid-October until mid-December. So, call ahead to make sure they are open

I just happened to come across the place as I was exploring a little side road. It is hidden in the woods, but worth the drive. Being from the south and having made many trips to New Orleans, I was surprised to find an authentic, New Orleans style, Cajun restaurant in Alaska. I avoided the wait by having dinner at... More

We usually try to get down at least 15 mins before opening. The Pepper steak is one of the best steaks around, but plan on splitting or taking some home. Between the Double Musky cake/pie and Cajun Delight desserts you can't go wrong.

I had the pepper steak which was somehow crispy on the outside (Not sure I want to know why). It was delicious and came with a loaded baked potato. The portion was very big, a bit overcooked but in the right ballpark. No room for desert or drinks after, right to the couch.

First, fair warning, no reservations, and you WILL have to wait for a table. Totally worth it! I've never had a bad meal here and I've been here many times. Steaks are always tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfections. My go-to at this place is the French Pepper Steak. If you like black pepper, this it the way to go.... More

We had to wait about an hour and a half just to get seated in the bar to get a drink and wait for a table. Then another 25 minutes for a table. Granted this was at 5:30pm on a Saturday night, no wonder. The place is funky and the staff really fun! The menu had a little of everything,... More
