We enjoyed a fish meal at the Sanctuary while staying elsewhere in Rarotonga. The food was thoughtfully created and tasty though the fish was overcooked. The service was friendly and very slow. It was Island Night through at the Rarotongan Resort and as the two facilities share the same kitchen, I am guessing they must have been run off their... More

WORST dining experience of my entire career! Myself, partner, and another couple ate here and I can honestly say that out of the hundreds of restaurants I have inspected and dined in throughout my career, this was by far the most terrible place experience I have ever come across. We waited 2hours for 3 soups and oysters. We were never... More

Very disappointed. We were told to book book book . So we booked for 7 and arrived waited for a drink . Had to go back and forward for gluten free which is great I like people to check and make sure if they are not sure . However after waiting 2hours and my meal came out covered in what... More

Honestly, I am speechless at this place, it was so bad. To put this in perspective, it rates itself 4 stars - so you have high expectations, but I would rate it at 1 given the prices, lack of service and poor food quality. If it rated itself two stars, and did not market itself as part of a 'luxury"... More

Having called in to look at the dinner menu, we phoned to make a booking. When we arrived there were a couple of staff at the bar serving drinks to a group of customers. So we waited. Then we walked over to the restaurant tables to see if there were any “Reserved” signs. There were not. We returned to the... More

We ate really well at both the Ginger Garden and the Bluewater Grill at the Sanctuary Resort on Rarotonga. Service was a bit hit and miss, we found it easiest to place our own orders with the kitchen staff sometimes! But patience paid off, and the food was pretty good if you are staying at the resort. The pace here... More

Great setting. Very poor staff and service. We waited almost 90mins for our main meal and we had no starter before and the restaurant was not busy. Food quality was very poor
