We went to Trader Jacks for lunch and all went well until I found a piece of paper in my Ika Mata. It looked like a piece of a label or something, and I wasnt overly disgusted by it - not like finding a fingernail...More

Everyone said to try Trader Jacks so we did. The Food was Good, fish very fresh - Wine List OK - but felt the service was a bit slack, had to wait till someone else had finished with a menu before we could order. Maybe...More

Have eaten at Trader's many times over the years. They never seem to decide whether they are a bar serving food, or a restaurant with a bar. But we thought we'd try again. Starters, ika mata, were surprisingly good and we both enjoyed them. However,...More

We had dinner here as a group and I had dukka parrot fish which was very impressive as the establishment comes off as an oversized bar on the ocean. The food was great-everyone agreed, and we all had wine or beer with the meal. The...More

Had a lovely meal at Trader Jacks on a recent trip to Rarotonga. Restaurant overlooks the port and whilst inside/undercover, large open windows provided a very welcome breeze. The food we had was excellent. Menu is primarily fish but there are a few meat options....More

We had lunch here in the bar, which was quite jolly, but it was a Saturday so it really ought to be. Its quite walk in the heat from the Market and Dance stand at the other end of the town (must visits), but this...More

If your hearts desire is deep fried anything, then this is the place to go. It was like stepping back into the 1970s. Deep fried scallops, deep fried fish, shrimp cocktail and so it goes on. Just like the old seafood baskets of back then....More

Sunday is always difficult here. Trader Jacks is open six nights a week with Sunday a day off for the hard working team. Bamboo Jacks is open on Sundays for an awesome dinner and a great selection of drinks.
