What a wonderful restaurant. If you're in San Jose, Costa Rica, this place is a "must do". Their Ceviche is the best I've ever had. Following the Ceviche, we had the Black Sea Bass, which I would highly recommend.  When you go, be prepared to enjoy the evening. The service is friendly and excellent, but they don't rush you through... More

We just visited the Machu Pichu Restaurant in San Pedro, during a busy Sunday lunch. We visited for a special birthday lunch. We made a reservation 2 days in advance in order to secure a good table. As we entered the restaurant and asked about it, no body really cared to check on a book or a log and just... More

This was a nice restaurant with nice food. At first sight we never thought it would be great but then we took the chance and got surprised. Then again if you don't like Peruvian food don't even try it.

The family wanted Peruvian food before leaving costa rica and we looked online to see what was recommended close to our hotel (Barcelo san jose Palacios). Turned out Machu Picchu met or exceeded our expectations. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant was nicely setup but not too fancy. We each had different traditional dishes but all were excellent.... More

The Restaurant does`t have a fancy location or look, but it don´t worry about it, the food is amazing!!! The service is also excellent, helpful waiters, very reasonable time to get what you order. The "aguadito de mariscos" (aprox. $15), a big seafood soup, is taste awesome!! The chaufa rice has a very deep flavor (aprox. $13), it's also a... More

This used to be one of my safe-bet restaurants in San Jose, but the last time I went I found tables without its tablecloths, no fabric napkins as it used to be, no more leather menus, even a TV... It was a classy restaurant that became a regular casual restaurant, but let's talk about the food. As I went before... More

It was worth following up on this restaurant which was recommended to us. A Pisco Sour set the mood of reminiscence. We had difficulty choosing from the offerings on the menu but were more than pleased with our selection. Generous servings meant that despite a shared starter there was no room for dessert. Very friendly service.

We enjoyed 'machu picchu Peruvian food, it was very good, they serve the best pisco sour outside Peru. Had a great time there, will come back again.
