The place was cozy and the waiter was good, but I made the mistake of ordering a steak. It took quite a long time to prepare and when it finally arrived, I understood why. I ordered rare, but it was extremely well done. The offered to bring me a new one (which arrived when my companions were eating dessert), but... More

While on vacation in the area during the holidays this spot caught our eye on the drive by. It was open and airy and decorated nicely. While walking through the town New Year's Eve without reservations anywhere we decided to try to sneak in and were able to get a table luckily! They were accommodating my shifting tables together for... More

My family was staying at a hotel nearby and went there for dinner hoping for a quick meal so we could go back to the room and sleep. We ended up waiting for 1 and a half hours for mediocre nachos and then another hour for our meal. I'm okay with waiting for food as long as it is worth... More

It ain't there anymore--it's at the marina, but still way over priced. Good staff, been with the owner a long time. Rip-off joint.

Went in to eat and once ordered things started to go down hill a little, the starter came out (chicken wings) which was nice, before I had got half way through my main was served to me and the lady apologised and said we're fast tonight. Once completing my chicken wings I turned to a cold plate of seafood served... More

This open air bar/restaurant was so good that we went back a second time. The location is on one of the busiest intersections in town, near the casino. The staff was very professional and polished. The food was very good. The seafood dishes we had were well prepared and fairly priced. This is a solid choice for dinner.

This is right downtown in Quepos. It's an open air bar and grill. We stopped in for lunch, as it was recommended to us. There is nothing special here, it's basic food and beer. There are a few wines available, but nothing much. The beer, however, is good, with three on tap the day we were there, and a large... More

We enjoyed two meals at this lovely restaurant when we were in Quepos recently. The open space lets the sea air in (it's across the street from the boardwalk bordering the ocean). The burgers were delicious, as were the Mexican salad and the fresh fish dishes. The service is excellent, and we also enjoyed some good wine. I recommend this... More

In quepos El gran escape is a very pleasant surprise Very reasonably priced and the smoothies are outrageously good I had the tuna freshest and best I've ever eaten The red snapper is a must as well as the santafe wrap The atmosphere is open air and our waiter was very friendly and helpful A must do when in quepos

Happy hour is bogof and also they do a free chilliguaro shot when you buy two beers. Free wifi but kids can't sit at the bar. They do food but we didn't try it and have signs up saying "you catch it, we'll cook it" so good for budding fishermen!
