This little soda has expanded considerably in the last three years. The family are great hosts, and the food is still amazing. This was our favourite place to eat on this most recent trip. We had the paella twice, and both times the seafood was the fresh daily catch rather than a standard assortment. Typico meals are perfect for lighter... More

We enjoyed the Tico comfort foods and super sangria. Rice with anything is good. Snapper was the fish of the day and it was delicious. Enjoy visiting with the family while you are there--- soon to be one more.

Great paella, loaded with seafood and rice. I ate it all! The Fetching Mrs. Rat had the Casado, meat, rice, beans and salad. The food was really very good. It also was the cheapest meal we had in Costa Rica. The tricky part is not finding Soda Colochos. The tricky part is finding your way back to the beach and... More

This is our favorite restaurant in Samara. Great food, excellent service, and good drinks. This is a must go to restaurant. My favorite dinner is garlic pulpo. The ceviche is amazing.

As usual, the best places are off the main strip. This place had the freshest ceviche we had the entire time we were there. The place was recommended by the local guys that took us snorkeling. Cheap and tasty!

We ate here several times while in Samara. The chicken and fish rice plates were both very nice. I had the shrimp plate on a different visit and that was great as well. It was quiet, the waitstaff attentive, and the food was clean, fresh and delicious. When in Samara, this local soda is one of the places that I... More

Wonderful little place tucked down a side street. We had the sangria, ceviche mixto and paella which were all excellent. In fact, the sangria was so good we went back a couple days later just for that and some ceviche. Cash only and you may have to be patient during peak times, but it is well worth the wait!

Second visit in a week. Paella for four, ceviche, drinks were spot on. Unassuming place with great seafood, service, and drinks, at reasonable prices.
