Our waitress was really nice. Not many people when we got there besides another group of tourists. It was around 3pm so maybe that's why. The Food was great and the price even better! Must visit.

Our family of 5, including picky teenagers, all loved their meals. Warm and juicy garlic bread, creamy asparagus soup, fresh grilled fish. One even had a cheeseburger and fries. All of our entrees were excellent. Great vegetarian choices. They even made a chocolate shake for our son. Cold Beer for the Adults! Small hole in the wall, but worth it!... More

Highly recommend for budget travelers that want a good meal for $7-9 with a casual dinning experience. We Had the tenderloin steak and sea bass both very good. They come with salad, veggies, potatoes and rice all in one plate.

This soda (diner) is clean, tidy and well organized, and offers a wide selection of Costa Ricense fare. The place is pretty open to the street, and when we arrived for lunch we took the only table left large enough to accommodate our party of 6. The staff was friendly and welcome, and worked as a team, but because of... More

Owner and staff very helpful and welcoming. Business clean and many choices. The food I wasn't impressed with even though I wanted to be. Nacho chips very greasy. Soups were okay but chicken soup contained too many large pieces to easily eat and seafood wasn't for me (so this was my issue not their fault). Possibly poor luck was just... More

Authentic, tasty, varied, a bargain. Everyone's plates looked great, and while some ordered the same the sides varied some and it was gun to try them all. Even the picky 14 year old was very Happy.

Such great food that we went twice in just the few days we stayed in La Fortuna. Doesn't look like 'much' from the outside the food is fantastic and a reasonable price. Had both a traditional plate and a large salad with chicken. Would go back here in a heartbeat.

We popped in here on a lonely planet recommendation. I'll be honest, we didn't really know what we were ordering. But the local staff smiled and were really friendly, making us all feel at home. We were a party of 8 but it was no issue and we were all served really quickly. We chose a mixed plate of local... More

Compared to the other places we tried, this place was a let down. Maybe the night we went maybe what we ordered but it was average at best. There were very few people in the establishment that night which is not surprising during the off season. I ordered a beef steak with onions and my wife order Costa Rican tacos.... More
