I had brunch at this place with some coworkers while on a business trip. Food was really good and this was a cozy place. It is a shame it was too cold to sit by the balcony, but I can imagine it is a lovely...More

It is worth going to the M on the Bund just for the amazing views. But also the food is good, anyway. Ask for a table outside and you are ready for a real treat...

Very Good, but not excellent. I would give 4.5 stars, but not 5. The Iranian duck dish was the highlight. Crab pasta and soft shell crab were both very good, but lacking a little umph (the pasta in particular). The famous pavlova is worthy of...More

I have been to this restaurant, many times, to show visitors the spectacular city views of Shanghai, which you can enjoy from the dinning area. I would not be inspired to go here for the food alone, and I have no go-to dish. On my...More

Had dinner and corporate event there. After nearly two decades, this place still goes strong and delivers the goods. High quality food and drink, excellent service, and views to die for. I insist on a visit every time I'm in Shanghai.

The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the
world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous

monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai
International Settlement run by the British and
Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has
endured over time and is now found in the five-star
hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive

For more than 15 years, M on the Bund has played host to the most glamorous gatherings in Shanghai. The sweeping views from our Art Deco terrace, the warm glow of our velvet-and-wood interiors, the attentive service of our staff and delicious fare make any event shine. Summer cocktail receptions overlooking the glittering river, cosy winter feasts, formal parties, product launches and more—whatever the season and the event, we promise a memorable occasion. M on the Bund's menu features a wide array of delights, including classics like M’s Crispy Suckling Pig, the Slowly Baked, Salt-Encased Selected Leg of Lamb and Our Hot House-Smoked Salmon. M’s Very Famous Pavlova, with layers of crisp meringue threaded with cream and fresh fruit, is a favourite finishing flourish to a meal. And it's all homemade—we bake our own bread, churn our own ice cream, craft our fresh pasta by hand and bring only the best to your table.
