You cant visit Downtown Montgomery without stopping for a hot dog at Chris' Hot Dogs. It has been around for ever with the best Dogs around-any kind you can imagine-any way you like it...I just love a plain dog-add sauerkraut and mustard-yummy. It should be listed as one of Montgomery's iconic places to go!

The service was excellent the history was amazing the owners were fantastic we learn so much sitting at the bar having some water with tons of hot dogs and fries. Everyone told us we must stop at Chris's for a hotdog. They steered us in the right direction! The sauce is amazing, the service was good and the value was great. Fun stop while doing historical sites in downtown Montgomery. Be sure to take some time to spend in downtown Montgomery--a very clean city, well laid out and many many... More

This place has great food! Small diner with nice antique feel to it. Their chili is "famous" around Montgomery and everyone wants to know their secret recipe :)

When you read the Trip Advisor reviews of Chris', you realize that generations of families have eaten at Chris' (opened in 1917). In fact, the third generation of Chris Katechis' family is running this Montgomery treasure today. In the 1950s, my newly wed parents walked with their cocker spaniel to eat hamburgers and hot dogs at Chris' every Saturday, weather... More

It's a hole in the wall joint but is always packed with folks from all walks of life. The special cheese dogs are addictive! A little bit pricey but so worth it. The onion rings are always hot and fresh and you get a HUGE amount. The server who is called E is off the chain! Lol, very sassy and... More

This is a dirty old place, but it is awesome and the hot dogs were great. I ordered the special (double) with cheese for about $4. Fries were decent, a bit overpriced at $2.10, but they gave me some extra chili sauce to dip the fries in and overall meal cost was definitely worth it. The secret recipe chili sauce... More

Chris' Hot Dogs is a magical place for memories for those who grew up in Montgomery, and for many who simply come to visit. One gentleman, George Tennant, who lives on the Isle of Wight in the UK, visits every year to spend time at this charming, nearly 100 year old establishment, first opened in 1917. Many people have wonderful... More
