Apparently the 'Kai Mei' or the chicken rear side portion of the chicken is more expensive than the Drum stick or any other parts of the chicken. For RM17.50 will give you a plate of rice with a rear portion of the chicken, some cucumber, a saucer of chilly, and a Bowl of plain black bean soup. It's extremely expensive... More

Hainanese Chicken Rice (a Singapore dish invented by someone from Hainan, hence the name) can be rolled into balls. Guess what this place alls its speciality? And servies it as a so-called delicacy at extra high prices on the basis of this innovation... Wow! AVOID here and look for the true heritage of Melaka - Nyonya/Peranakan food which is amongst... Had lunch for 4 people and took their set. Must say it was quite reasonably priced and the food was decent. Relatively clean restaurant and all in will visit again

The restaurant served chicken rice ball which is normal. There are better restaurants in Melaka. The chicken not so smooth and chili needs to improve. Just visited this restaurant once and would not returned for a second time. The price is also not attractive.

This chicken rice is special for the rice ball but the chicken is not that great. Price is a bit expensive.

Escape from the tourist traps of Jonker Walk and get your chicken ball rice fix here. No queues, no hungry mob chaos and no rude staff buckling under pressure. From what locals tell me, the owner is related to one of the famous chicken ball rice outlets in Jonker Walk. My first chicken ball rice experience was at Jonker Walk.... More

Because it is not located in jonker street, there is no queue or waiting at this eatery 5 minutes walk from novotel. They serve roasted or steamed chicken sets MYR$77 for a whole bird with rice balls and vegetables. Service was fast and efficient, and the taste authentic. Good value.

Heng Chicken Rice Ball caught my eyes as I was traveling along melaka Raya road. After reading all the bad reviews, I decided to give it a try. As this was a local family business, dont expect excellent service rendered. Their chicken look raw perhaps because of the hainanese method of cooking. I won't elaborate much about the chicken rice... More

Maybe we got in on an early part of lunch time. So, there is not that many people. Ordered and the owner is upselling their black bean soup, assam fish, apart from the chicken which can be either poached, roasted or a combination of both. We decided to go for both for variety. For the upselling we only ordered the... More
