At first we thought a bit on the expensive side for Melaka but the meat portions were generous and good quality we thought so no complaints there. The mixed veg was just cabbage and thinly sliced mushrooms. The rice balls were nothing special. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere dull. Not bad but maybe keep walking.

The food and service paled in comparison to another nonya food restaurant down the street - chilli sauce is diluted, carrot juice is diluted, sambal kang kong does not taste spicy. The egg omelette tastes good though. The staff appeared friendly but gave me the vibes that they are really apathetic about customers' request. This would be a place to... More

Its location makes it popular, nothing else. Average food at best and not very Nonya. Beef rendang was tastless and the prawns average. There are much better restaurants than this if you want fond memories of Malacca.

Good selection of local cuisine dishes. No fuss, basic décor, very reasonable prices. Enjoyed a chicken rice ball meal and on another occasion ayam redang and pongteh bak. Popular place. Good place for a quick tasty meal. Cheap way to try various dishes.

We were on a tour to Malacca and where taken here for lunch by our guide. Interestingly he ate elsewhere. Local home cooked food was on offer, with chicken rice balls as their speciality. Cheap yes, good no. The chicken rice balls were dry and tasteless, the chicken undercooked and the spicy beef curry was lacking meat. I needed the... More

I entered here with almost no knowledge of Malaysian food, after talking to the man who came to give the menu I spoke to him about what could be a good option for me to taste, we decided on sambal petai udang (prawns), steam rice and a special recommendation from that person was the ice jelly lime honey cool drink.... Was already later in the evening after 5pm and found this place still serving ball chicken rice....ordered chicken, few rounds of ball rice and sambal petai udang. The rice was slightly dry and the chicken wasn't as aromatic....suspect has been hanging on rack for a while. The sambal petai was very well done. Tried an otak otak which was reasonable... More

5 of us visited and shared dishes. We had beef rangam, a chicken dish, and a pork dish, fried rice some okra and kangkong. We loved every dish. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is very basic but we went in because of the number of locals using it. With 2 beers each we spent about the... More
