Chanced upon this restaurant located not far from Jonker street. It's interior gives off Peranakan feelings and the food makes it even more homely. Overall, the food are delicious at an affordable price. Should give it a try if you're tired of the food at Jonker Street!

After visting the Baba-Nyonya museum, we popped over to this nearby nyonya restaurant for lunch. We ordered nyonya chap chop, Japaneses taufo, otak otak to go with the rice. Before the food came, we had chendol kacang first. Very reasonably priced and the combination of red beans, chendol, brown sugar, ice chippings ,milk was just right and we were feeling... More

I feel compelled to write a very negative review for this restaurant. It is perhaps with its unrivaled location and good surrounding, which almost guarantee its inflows of customers from all over the world, that warrants the (possibly) owner to be very inhospitable, or hostile to be more exact, towards the customers. Although the price is acceptable, quality of food... More

Before we could enter the restaurant, we were stopped by a grouchy woman ( might be the manager) at the cash register counter. She ordered us to sit at a specific table. When we shifted to another one that faced the fan, she told us off. While taking our food order, no beverage was prompted. Terrible service! Definitely not going... More

The Peranakan is in a street running parallel to Jonker Street, nearly opposite the Baba-Nyonya museum. We were on a guided tour of Malacca that had been booked for us by our agent in the UK, and we were not expecting lunch. When our guide took us into the Peranakan, we were a little surprised, but the place looked interesting... More

Peranakan House offer a historical environment as it house a lot baba nyonya decorations. As for the food it is only average and actually the service is not really on par.

When there with my wife and children, I have been in the F&B industry for more than 30 years, I would consider their service average as this is a typical local chinese service where you will notice lots of aunties, so dont expect any 5 star services provided. Even though they sound rude, they are providing the best services they... More

We went there as it starred raining on night market, so we popped in more or less. So, in opposite to other reviews: they do accept walk in! We chose beef rendang, spring roll and sotong fritters, and we enjoyed everything! Beef redang was well balanced with flavor, coconut and spicyness. The portion size is ok, so I guess two... More

Horrible Service, i walked in with my whole family prior to a tour group arrival, but we were told that tour group will be served in priority. They just ignore walk-in guests, i will never ever step into this restaurant again.
