San Pedro restaurant never disappoints our family with its Bedevilled Curry Chicken and Sambal Baked Seabass. Lately we discovered another excellent dish - it's Sambal Baked Squid. This restaurant is must go-to place for us whenever we are in Malacca, and these dishes are our must eat. The staff are quiet but friendly and patient once you get to know... More

Tried this eatery last week, due to Trip Advisers recommendations, but was disappointed.Main disappointment was the surliness of the waiting staff."Take it or leave it" comes to mind.Menu del dia was cheaply priced at under 10 euros, the food was filling, but with no imagination at all. Will not be revisiting.

Quite hard to find but generally near the other seafood places. Home cooked food which resembles a house rather than a restaurant. Cabs are non-existent so recommneded to pre book your ride back. Must try dishes Baked Fish Devil's Curry Portugese style prawns

The Portuguese Settlement has a few food stalls and a few restaurants, one of which is San Pedro. The area is fairly run down and bleak without much to see, hidden away but a few metres from the sea front. We went as a group of four and the place was empty (other places nearby were full!). They did not... More

The taste is ok and the seafood is fresh. But allow me to give it a 2 star because I'm expecting some Protugese Food but what I see is only Nyonya ways of cooking. The feeling is just like you're expecting some good wine and end up they serve you Coca Cola. I can';t say Cola is not nice because... More

Must orders are the Portuguese fried squid, batter is light and not oily. Ikan Bakar, lovely fresh ikan kurau with smoky flavour. Sambal prawns with big fresh prawns that cry out for rice to soak up that delicious sauce. Grilled eggplant that is so crunchy, soft and delicious that you will never look at eggplant the same way again. The... More

We were looking for a good Portuguese restaurant on the net and found this eatery in the Portuguese Settlement. Due to the numerous reviews and recommendations we ordered their Baked Fish, Chicken Debal and Fried Okra. The dishes were alright but kind of over rated by those who ate here and their prices were slightly higher than the seafood stalls... More

Best dishes were the baked fish (pity they only serve seabass) and curry debal (very nice chicken curry) with which I always finish the curry gravy. Grilled eggplant is crispy on the outside and melts on the inside. Best of all, they also make brandy fruit cake (needs about 2 to 3 weeks' advance notice) however, their chocolate cake is... More

The baked fish was not good at all. Overrate! The prawn cook in dark sauce is not tasty too.The chicken in Portuguese sauce is average and the baked brinjal was also ok.
