My family and I loved the food at this lovely restaurant. The interior is beautifully decorated and the service is very good. The menu is very good and the food absolutely delicious prepared to very high standard. By far the best local food restaurant in town and the only one that could be considered fine dining. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful restaurant in the Majestic Hotel in Malacca. The restaurant has very impressive decor. The service is exemplary. The food was very tasty and many dishes were spicy. Only the pongteh chicken dish was a slight disappointment as my grandmother used to make a much tastier pongteh dish. There was enjoyable live background piano music. A wonderful... More

The Majestic Malacca has always been our only hotel to stay at in Malacca. However the food was not of the same standard as the hotel. It was a great pity! At last, the missing piece of the puzzle is in place. Melba at The Mansion opened a month ago. The Kristang cuisine may not be familiar to many people,... More

We were staying at the Majestic Melaka so it made sense to give the restaurant a try for dinner. As the remainder of the hotel was wonderful it was quite a surprise that the dinner was very very disappointing. A lack of menu options which are largely hawker style food choices at a terribly inflated price. The greatest disappointment was... More

We found it vet difficult to find an upscale restaurant in Melaka. We were staying at the Majestic Hotel and the dining room there was the answer. The limited menu features some Malaysian, Indian and western selections. Attentive service in a wonderfully cool traditionally elegant dining room. The food was not outstanding but it was tasty and good value. They... More

The restaurant is housed in a historic mansion and there is a pianist playing old time favourites over dinner. The place has. Good breakfast spread. Dinner however is not up to standard given the ambience. It is local hawker fare served in a more upmarket way but is overall lacking in imagination, taste and culinary skill.

I would like to thank the Chef for preparing a Fried Prawns to accompany our drinks at the bar and for preparing a delicious Vegetarian Nasi Goreng to my wife... and much more. Hospitality, smile and tasty, well presented food when desired this is the pleasure.
