My family loves the Blue Marlin. The whole fried flounder is my fave (also delicious broiled). The sides are always seasoned well and tastes great. The food is freshly prepared, so don't go in a hurry. If they are busy, it may take a few extra minutes, but it's worth the wait! If you aren't a seafood fan, the chicken... More

We have gone past the Blue Marlin Restaurant in years past and never stopped. This winter, we decided to try it out. This is an excellent restaurant and Irene, the owner, is an outstanding cook, a lovely lady and very welcoming to her guests! The home cooking of southern food and especially the seafood is equal to any we have... More

Well, I had given this place five stars on our first visit. This visit was very disappointing. Becky gave us wonderful, friendly service during our first visit. Our second was for our anniversary. We walked in and were greeted from behind the counter, and were told to sit anywhere. There was one table of customers. We waited. We waited. Ten... More

This is a very busy little rustic restaurant outside oFairhope proper. Lots of local people eat here and the place was packed. There were four of us and when we arrived it took a few minutes before anyone acknowledged us as we stood by the front door and then it took a few minutes before we were seated. It appeared... More

We always enjoy this very casual dining spot. Great fried oysters, shrimp, flounder served with slaw and choice of potatoes, even sweet potato fries!

Wonderful seafood, baked potatoes, salad - reminds of an after church on Sunday type of restaurant. Friendly staff - I've always had a positive experience at the Blue Marlin!

Our innkeeper recommend the Blue Marlin for dinner and we're glad he did. I enjoyed fresh local shrimp and my husband had the fried whole flounder. The food was excellent and the atmosphere very casual and friendly. A good spot for local seafood.

We moved into the area today and my husband found us this hidden gem in Barnwell for a late lunch - the building doesn't look like much but the food and people are great! Going with the recommendation of Jodie, our waitress, he ordered the Alligator bites and Angels on horseback - oysters wrapped with bacon and then deep fried.... More

I eat at Blue Marlin frequently. The food is always good and is very reasonably priced. The owners and staff are very friendly. I highly recommend Blue Marlin. It is one of my favorites. Robert Berglin, Fairhope
