Whenever we visited Kolkata during last 5/6 years, we make it a point to visit this restaurant at least once. This time we had our lunch there. This is a small restaurant located in south Kolkata in a traditionally Bengali para near Gol park in the vicinity of Ramkrishna mission . The restaurant serves authentic Bengali cuisine. This time we... More

I had lunch at this restaurant with my wife. Ordered standard Bengali food, a combination of vegetarian & non vegetarian dishes. The food was overpriced, taste significantly substandard and portions small.

Quality is average, quantity is poor, price is too high. Will recommend to visit once not again. Dab chingri is excellent but Paturi items are average. Rice was not boiled properly.

During a business day we were looking for a place for a Hilsa lunch quite late (2.30 PM), when somebody recommended Tero Parbon. Located in a posh area, the interiors have a British period Calcutta look. The capacity is limited but the food selection is quite grand. I tried Hilsa egg fry with Hilsa Oil with rice followed by steamed... More

Unfortunately we went on a weekend , it was crowded and found that restaurant was not equipped to serve so many at a time. The order to delivery was more than 45 minutes. The stuff what we ordered was authentic Bengali food like moosoor daal, aloo bhaja, bhat, postor bada and bhapa ilish....cooking was excellent and worth the money we paid.

Being a business traveller and a "Probasi" Bengali at that I could never satiate my yearning for good Bengali cuisine even in Kolkata till the late 90s. Then some respite was provided - thanks to the Bangladeshi restaurants that started mushrooming in the Bangladeshi frequented areas in Central Kolkata. The food was tast and offered a wide variety of fish... More

I went there with my family in July 2015. I could only order some Bengali appetisers as the main course is highly expensive. Although the food tasted great, I felt that the restaurant needs to work on their service. Those were common dishes, yet they took around 30 minutes to deliver the food.
