The reputation of this iconic mysore restaurant is worldwide. Visiting Mysore after decades, we decided to have lunch here. Unfortunately the premises are under reconstruction, and no notice was put up on Trip advisor. We had to find an alternative place.

This hotel is in the middle of the busiest place with a stones throw distance from the market , shopping and busstop. Due to the heavy turnover of tourists, be prepared for a bit of a compromise in terms of hygeine. The attached vegeterian hotel at the basement offers excellent, but spicy items. The room charges satisfies a low budget... More

A no nonsense restaurant. Old style interior and exterior . Food is very good especially the south indian meals ( both ordinary and special) . gets crowded and sometimes one has to wait for empty table . Delicious and simple veg meals . excellent coffee . They serve a special chutney ( coconut + onion) with puri which is very... More

Good food, lots of space to accommodate large groups. Nice old food hall.. Customers come from long distances just for the food. Well established and well known.

I heard a lot of this hotel and went there for a lunch. It is a very old hotel which servers thali. Nothing great about this place but food is decent. You can stop here for a quick lunch.

I wouldn't rate the Dasprakash restaurant as highly as some do. The thali was good, but not unusual or exceptionally tasty, the coffee is decent, the mysore pak is good. The restaurant, unlike the hotel it's located in, isn't all that interesting in terms of decor or achitecture. Still, a reliable place to eat.

I heard much about this restaurant and decided to try lunch here. Took the special meals (Rs. 100/- & Rs. 80/- for the mini meals) and thought the overall experience was very ordinary. The food was not upto spec and expectations at all. Other than rasam, sambar & thovve (dal), the rest was pathetic .. the chapathi is probably the... More
