I went to this place recently for breakfast on recommendation of a friend. I ordered a plate of idli vada with filter coffee. I also requested for gun powder chutney which otherwise did not come with my order. The idli and the vada were both average in taste, the gun powder chutney was the weirdest I have ever had till... Good and reasonably priced. Try out the Ghee Pongal, Kara Appam (Salty), Dal Poori (tastes more or less like pooranpoli), Idiyappam. The curd rice is not that good, so go for it only when curd rice is an essential part of your meal.

The food at the restaurant upstairs was truly sub-par. I had the veg uthapam, the missi roti, the kadai mushroom, and the ghobi Manchurian. All very plain. Food is served on plastic dishes, it felt like eating in a school cafeteria.

Being a regular at this place I am surprised I haven't reviewed this earlier. Originally a South Indian food restaurant (what we Northies call South Indian), it still excels in it. Various kind of Dosais, Vadeys, etc and the amazing chutneys make this THE place to go for our family. My wife also tries out their non-Southie fare like 'Indian... More

We had Upma, Mysore Masala Dosa and Vada sambar. The food was too spicy, particularly the chutneys and sambar; even for me who is used to typical spicy food of southern India. My business colleagues from Delhi were sweating profusely, on a cold winter afternoon of Delhi. I had to order the sweet dish, Gajar ka halwa to neutralize the... More

Why should any human from anywhere on the Earth visit this alluring locale? First, he/she will immediately feel the unspoken, intuitive rapport and commonality among the variety of friendly people tasting away? The other night, for example, a post chance meet-up with two Swedish friendly personages left one with still another delicious taste. Second, the decor of the food--yes, decor--color,... More

Located in Green Park market area, this restaurant, part of a Tamil Nadu-based chain of restaurants, seems to have its loyal set of clientele who frequent it regularly. At first look you may mistake it for a sweet shop as that's what you see on the ground floor; go up a flight of stairs and you have a sit-down restaurant... More

One of the popular haunts in Greenpark, Ananda bhawan is an excellent choice for south indian food. Apart from the usual dosas and idlis, my friend suggested we try appams. What a delightful suprise! I would recommend this if one drops by to green park. There are pickles on sale which are absolutely lovely!
