If you are looking for a good Japanese restaurant you do not even need to give it a second thought. Wasabi is by far the best Japanese restaurant in Delhi. I regularly have their sushil. All are good. The fish carpaccio is outstanding and so are the rock prawns in 2 flavours of wasabi and sweet sauce. They also have... More

For those who have tasted sushi around the world I would say that the food quality, service and ambience is good but at twice the price of any other comparable restaurant around the world. Having said this there is barely any good sushi available in India, not at least in North. We ordered Bara sushi and Sashimi platter and they... More

We went there for a special occasion recently as a largish family of 8 - ordered the Omakase menu for all. The dishes as one would expect from Wasabi were good to taste and good to look but frankly not spectacular which is what one would expect if one is paying NewYork prices in Delhi - the earlier Omakase used... This one is the best japanese food in delhi and mostly for sushis and sashimis; fresh fish arrival on wednesdays normaly; Service is excellent, very nice staff and very professional; Decor is fine, you have also some seats in front of the chef if you want to see him cooking, and you have one big round table bit on side,... A nice surprise! This wasn't my first choice of restaurant in the hotel but the food was well prepared and tasty.

Excellent restaurant offering a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi and teppanyaki. The best part was the freshly grated wasabi right at the table!

This restaurant is in the Taj Mahal hotel and has to rate as one of the best meals we had in Delhi. Had the 7 course meal with sake and every single course was awesome.

We were guests of the hotel and arrived at Wasabi for quite a late lunch. We were warmly greeted with lots of patience to our several questions. We ended up having a seat at the sushi bar. Champagne, cocktails, Indian beer, specialty sushi rolls with truffle oil, everything was outstanding including the professional service! I highly recommend it if you're... More

If you are looking for a typical Japanese restaurant you will need to carefully select your dishes as many are "Indianised" with interesting spicy flavor. Very good restaurant though quiet pricy.

Maybe the review is not fair because we are comparing the food with the superb Japanese food we eat in Japan, Hong Kong, Toronto, Vancouver, LA, New York etc. For the same amount we paid in Wasabi, New Dehli, we can eat in many places which offer better food. The grade and freshness of the sashimi is ok but not... More
