Almost everyone we talked to in Bocas Town said this was the best restaurant in town. We found it good but not exceptional, maybe because of its too-laid-back ambience. The food was passable and the service was good.

Went here based solely off of other good reviews and ,as promised, was not disappointed! I had a beautifully tender Filet Mignon with bleu cheese sauce and a delicious drink followed by snickers peanut butter cheesecake. Friends had shrimp risotto that was to die for....More
We were told El Ultimo Refugio was good and it did not disappoint. The food was fab and the staff were attentive. Give the cocktails a miss though - weak and watery. Live music was really cool as well.
Great experience with a live reggae band playing. We enjoyed the ceviche and had to try their coco shots. The shots were sweet and smooth. Great to try, but be wary (or not) because they'll hit you hard before you know it.
