We had some time to kill before our train departed to Cusco so we stopped here for lunch. I had the vegetarian enchiladas (comes with a side of homemade guacamole) and my husband had a brick oven deluxe personal pizza and a side of fries/papas fritas. There was a wide range of choices, from Italian, Mexican, Peruvian, etc. Our server, Jesus, also brought us some complimentary bread with 2 amazing dipping sauces. The food was tasty, the service was top notch and the vibe to just sit and chill and catch up while using free WiFi was great. Jesus then pointed us in the right direction on how to get to the train station...which was super appreciated! Would definitely come back to eat here again.

Was in with 8 in the family. Good pizza and other dishes, treated like family by Jesus. Was able to get a respectable gluten free meal for the family member with celiac disease, but it helps to have a card explaining, in Spanish, what is meant by "Gluten Libre".

We arrived in Aguas Calientes for a relaxing night before hiking up to Machu Picchu. Looking for a place to eat we came across this wonderful restaurant and the staff was extremely welcoming, in particular Jesus was very attentive. The pizza was fantastic and we ended up returning after our hike to Machu Picchu the next day. They very much made us feel welcome and like family. Sole and Jesus were amazing and we will be back to see this wonderful town and visit them again.

We just happened to find this place as we were looking for a place to get a decent parrillada for lunch. Cala Trattoria exceeded our expectations and we liked it so much that we came again the next day for lunch! The service by Jesus was excellent. You could tell that he and the cooks in the kitchen take pride in their work and we greatly appreciated what they had to offer us!

Had a very nice dinner tonight. Family of 6 who ordered a mixture of items including. Two salads, chicken wings, multiple pizzas, and the Alpaca fettuccini. Everything was excellent. My youngest son who ordered the wings, said they were incredible, fall off the bone with a BBQ sauce. My other son enjoyed the Alpaca that was well prepared to the exact temperature requested. The pizzas were all great and made in a wood fired oven. The hot spices they provided in request enhanced their flavor. Jesus, our waiter, was extremely attentive. Good service without being intrusive, with comedy mixed in at times, all while conversing with us in his 2nd in not third language.

Just ate here before catching a train back to Cusco. The food was amazing and Jesus went above and beyond. He was smart enough to connect me with some English and Spanish speaking customers to get my order right, and the fettuccini I had was amazing! As well as the bread with garlic spread. After the meal was over, he was kind enough to assist me with my luggage all the way to the train station!! I am just blown away on all accounts!

My husband and I spent 5 days in Aguas Calientes. After trying many different restaurants Cala Tratoria became our to go place. The food was delicious but what really made us come back was Jesus. His service is just outstanding, seriously best in town. Plus prices are fare and they don’t add any extra unexpected charges. In a highly turisty town, we really appreciated him and his family not treating us like a walking wallet. Highly recommend!

While other restaurants push you with a sales person to come inside, Cala Tratoria doesn't, that already called our attention. The restaurant is a bit hidden but close to the main street, they have a simple but functional decoration and the service from min one is great. Rocio took care of us and she was a sol! The menu is very diverse, and this is appreciated. We have been in Peru for some days and we have been eating traditional food for several days, a little break was nice. Anyhow, even though the dishes had international names, there was a Peruvian touch in all of them. My wife had both days the pumpkin soup which was delicious. The first day I had a margarita pizza, which is made in a stone oven, made with local cheese. The second day I had "bife" fajitas which were amazing. Good price as well. So all in all, a great place to go to rest after visiting Machu Picchu. Good location, good food and amazing service. Rocio even gave us tips for what to do with our spare time, we followed her advice and it was a success. A good choice for sure!

This is out 5th day in Peru. Two days in Lima, two in Cusco, first day in Aguas Caliente. This has been our best meal in Peru. Our waiter Jesus is a gem. Very attentive and helpful. Portions are very big and food was delicious. Our tab was US$28 for two of the two meat meals and two beverages. Highly recommend.

We found it by happy accident as every restaurant seemed to have the same tourist menu but it looked clean with comfortable seating so we went in and found some of the best Peruvian food that we have had yet. Our waitress, Rosia, was very sweet and attentive. We loved it so much that we went back for lunch before our train left to return to Cusco.

So good. We wanted meat on the plancha and this place did not disappoint. It’s off the main street near the river and is quieter than some of the other restaurants. The staff is wonderful and the food is out of this world. I had the stuffed avocado and it was amazing. We are going back for lunch today. It also has a really nice ambience, with comfortable chairs and views out the window. The menu is varied if you have picky eaters (kids).

Great food quality and price within reasonable. Very good trout and salted lomo. It also has Italian food options in case someone in the group does not like Peruvian food. In the evening better come early because it can fill a lot.

They have a Peruvian built wood fired pizza oven and they know how to do pizza. We have had pizza all over the world and theirs holds it own. Certainly the best pizza we have had in Peru. As an appetizer we got a complementary plate of garlic bread with small bowls of a creamy garlic sauce and a spicy pepper sauce. These worked well with the pizza as well. With pizza you got to have cerveza and they had a good Peruvian Negra dark lager. Was not busy at 6:00 but the place is probably hopping later.

A fair place, popular with locals as well as tourists, Cala offers a wide range of Pizza, but also pasta, meat and fish, starters, sweets... The pizza is done very nicely the Napolitan way, not as thick as you often get it served. We had two (quite big bowls of) soups (one pumpkin, one chinoa), shared a mediana pizza, two glasses of red wine, and left with full stomache.
