After a long, 2-day journey from Washington, DC to Aguas Calientes, our hotel receptionist highly recommended Inka Wasi with no hesitation, and my husband and I are so grateful that she did.
To start, the ambiance of the restaurant is the perfect balance of tradition and modernity. The restaurant featured Inca woodwork and indigenous decor yet the floor length window, cocktail bar, and marble flooring were chic. Secondly, the wait staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and interactive, and we can certainly attest to the camaraderie and teamwork that is present in their work environment.
Nahuel was our main server, and made the best recommendations for us as first time tourists to Peru. My husband indulged in the alpaca special, which he devoured, ending with a spotless “happy plate.” I went with Nahuel’s second recommendation: the trout, which was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had: tender, flakey trout juxtaposed with a crisp skin, served with a sweet and sour remoulade, paired the best steamed spinach & onion I’ve ever tasted (and I usually hate onion), and grilled plantain.
My husband went behind my back and whispered to the wait staff that we were celebrating my birthday, and the entire staff took the time to sing to me in both English and Spanish, presenting me with a personalized birthday dessert! I was absolutely over the moon.
The cherry on top? The bartender is heavy handed. The drinks are delicious and strong!

This is one of the best restaurants to go if you’re wondering where to eat after shopping in the artisan market. The restaurant has impressive Inca decorations, the food is cheap, delicious and may come in different portions, and the workers are really kind. Our waiter was Orlando and he was very friendly, kind and made us feel welcomed.

Inka Wasi offers a spectacular atmosphere on a main street of Machu Picchu Village. The perfect combination between a welcoming environment and a decor that makes you feel in the middle of Andean culture. The food was excellent, authentic and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was prepared with care and attention to detail.
Also, the service was unbeatable. Sergio was very friendly and his treatment was just wonderful. He made us feel at home and was always aware of our needs without being invasive. It is definitely a place that you can not miss if you are in Machu Picchu. Highly recommended!

The waiter Claudio was great and friendly, I ordered a burger with fries and my husband got the Trout Claudio recommended. The roused ended up being a ( sashimi) nicely presented. My burger was way too dry and has some inedible pieces in it. :(
Claudio was nice , but advertising for the massage next door. The bill came and wow. Craft beer at most expensive restaurants in US are 7-8$. We were charged 10$ USD for beer and 3$ for regular water! This is what I don't like about travel when they see Americans, they just take advantage! Not cool

The classiest and most spacious restaurants in all of Machu Pichu that I have dined. This place has the “ WOW” factor. I swear I came upon the restaurant by sheer accident and was so impressed by it mix of Peruvian Art and furnishing that I had to try dining there.
Talk of great service and ambiance. The meals were tasty and the pisco sour which I kept calling whisky sour were first class
My server was so helpful and attentive I felt like I had a grandson taking care of me. He made me fell like I was at a familiar family dinner.
Overall this restaurant deserves top rating because of it decor, tasty cuisine it’s great serving of pisco sour and wonderful servers

Very good food! Delicious! Miss Claudia attended us very kindly and suggested the best dishes and signature cocktails along with the presentation of Sergio the creator of the very rich cocktails! The restaurant has nice interior, perfect for after Machu Picchu trip, pisco sour was good and dishes were nice too. Our server, Henry was very helpful and informative abt the menu and was very helpful when my baked pork belly dish was kinda tough, which was the only downside of our dining experience.
