Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A warm and welcoming atmosphere at this small cosy informal restaurant, and a menu to die for. This lady is a chef, who has mastered her 10 menu items (and variations) to perfection. In a totally relaxed setting. Unbeatable price/quality. Very happy to have found this gem; multiple visits inevitable!

Absolutely amazing experience. Krazy Mama is an incredible cook, and it was the best food I had in Thailand. She is also a fantastic host and made my friends and I so happy and welcome that we ended up returning 3 nights in a row. A must visit!

This place is absolutely amazing! You cannot go to Pai without making a stop at the Krazy Kitchen! Mama Sue has a phenomenal story that you will want to hear, she is the sweetest and hardest working woman I have met in my entire life! She served up 5 large portions of food to my friends and I who are all on a backpacking trip. Her prices are fantastic, her food is outstanding, her character is to die for! If her adorable outdoor restaurant isn’t enough to melt your heart the fact that she makes you feel so comfortable will! We honestly felt like our grandma was cooking a homemade meal and was spoiling us rotten! She even brought us to the back garden where she GROWS almost all of the food she uses (spices and leaves included folks). She was kind enough to show us the gorgeous sunset over the mountains in her backyard and she gave us 2 delicious pomelo’s as a parting gift! Mama Sue will absolutely take care of you! If there is one thing I cannot stress enough about this, it’s the fact that this is a MUST when in Pai! ❤️ Thank you Mama Sue! - Love the 4 Canadian’s who love you forever ❤️

Visited here in July and we were the only ones there at that time of day. Food was excellent. Nothing fancy - just really good Thai food from a local. Price was good. Can't go wrong visiting here. Owner/cook was very nice.

I love this place. I was introduced to Krazy Kitchen just this past week. And aside from the lovely food I enjoyed, I especially like the sharing of "humanity" at this little get-together along the main highway to Pai.

We are currently staying just around the corner at Kalm resort. We didn't want to travel too far for lunch so had a quick look online and found Krazy Kitchen. We are over the moon that we took a chance and ate here, the hospitality that Mama Sue shows totally makes this place, her food is cooked freshly and with care. She will ask you how spicy you would like your food and happily chat away to you about the ingredients inside and their benefits. The food is delicious and will not disappoint, it is so cheap too! We loved sitting and chatting to her after our food and hearing about her life. If you are lucky she will show you her garden and let you try all the different herbs she grows. She showed us her papaya tree, she loves to gift her customers with chopped papaya after the meal! We are glad to have met such a special lady, if you are staying in the area or visiting the canyon, pop in and pay her a visit. I promise you that you won't regret it!

We found Krazy Kitchen slightly outside the center of town and immediately knew It would be awesome. “Krazy,” the owner/chef makes each dish to order after feeling out your spice tolerance. She’s sassy, will tell you how to properly eat your dish, makes huge portions so no one is left hungry- and promises the leftovers will go unwasted as she points to her dog pals in the yard. The fermented lemon soda was unique and delicious, the iced green tea the best we’ve had. She has a guest house in the back for those who befriend her, and a sunset view she is happy to share with anyone who will walk the 30 yards from the restaurant to see It. I could go on and on but then It wouldn’t be as fun to discover on your own.

A home from home. Mama Sue is a great cook and loves to make you feel incredibly welcome. The food is prepared with love and care and ingredients she grows herself. Portions are very generous. She wants you to have a beautiful time with her and we really did. And kept going back for her brilliant energy! Spending time at Krazy Kitchen was a highlight of our experience in Pai.

We had the best time visiting the Krazy Kitchen for lunch. The meals were lip smackingly good and the portion sizes were gigantic, we practically rolled out of there! After lunch we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with the mad and marvellous Mama Sue. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

We passed by and decided to stop for lunch as the place looked so welcoming! We had delicious food with ingredients picked fresh from the garden. Mama Sue then showed us her garden, has us trying everything and informed us of their uses. We then saw the spectacular view out back of the mountains behind rice fields. She also had natural hot spring bath, used by people in her guest house. Beautiful!

Had a lovely meal and unreal hospitality from Moma Sue, she really looked after us and showed us her home stay area and invited us to watch sunset, which we did and it was incredible! Can't rate this place more, its just unassuming and extremely special.

Stumbled across this place accidentally after visiting the memorial bridge ( Its just round the corner) and it was the best accidental discovery i've made in the whole of Thailand. Mama Sue is simply incredible. What a host. A big warm reception, with a huge smile on her face. The Pad Thai was simply incredible, the best i've had in Thailand. It was a huge serving, and only 60 baht. We sat and spoke after our meal, and even though Mama Sue has been through a lot, she still had such a happy smile on her face. Mama Sue has great taste in music, and her place is just so chilled out. Make sure you check this place out on your way into Pai, or when visiting the memorial bridge. I promise you won't regret it. She even gave me some herbal berries for a sore throat I had.

We stopped here by accident after getting lost in Pai, but realised afterwards it's only about 10 minutes up the road from the Pai Canyon. Mama Sue made us amazing Thai curry, with ingredients she grows herself, and showed us around her garden. She gave us fresh papaya and passion fruit to try and took us to see the views of the rice fields behind her house. Meals were all less than 100bt (£2.50). Definitely definitely worth visiting whilst exploring Pai.
