Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Recommended by our hotel staff, we decided to dine in this restaurant. allegedly one of the best in Pai, when it comes to Thai food. What we found was one of the worst Thai restaurants we ever experienced. We ordered two khao soi gai and...we simply couldn't eat them. They were overwhelmingly sweet, tasteless and bland. Saturated with sugar (an old trick used by locals to appease western customers, who want to feast on colorful and exotic looking food, without having to deal with the aroma, flavor and spiciness of the real thing) the khao soi tasted more like a pannacotta with chicken, than the Thai treat we were expecting to eat. We paid our bill and left this restaurant with no regrets, no question asked and no discussion. We dined in the hotel restaurant.More

Large, well run, busy roadside restaurant. Good quality, well cooked, large portions, unpretentious food. Service excellent, wait staff friendly and attentive. Fully lives up to its reputation as being one of the best restaurants in Pai.

What a fun place for good food. Great location right on the corner by the walking street. Very popular if you are solo you may be sharing a table but that just adds to the fun. The owner made sure everything was the way I...liked as I ordered an item off the menu (a cucumber plate). Just rightMore

Nong Beer was busy with many customers queuing every night we visited in late November. During one visit, we were told to wait up to an hour for our food. We had compared the prices of this restaurant with a few others on our recommended...list and felt the prices here were reasonable but obviously it's still tourist prices! We liked the pineapple fried rice, fried big noodles, fried egg noodle, mango sticky rice (oops, this one was expensive at B100). Highly recommend their Khao Soi. As for their popular sate, we still think Singapore satay excels.More

Popped in here after being very indecisive about where to go for food. Well, what a win! Had massaman and panamg curries, absolutely to die for. So delicious and will be going back. Our favourite meal so far

Best pad Thai I’ve had in Thailand. Great service. Big dishes. Amazing smoothies. The red Thai curry was great. Had 5 meals here in 3 days.

We were sat right next to the busy road, so not the best of locations. Busy restaurant with lots of young groups so popular with “low cost” stayers. We wanted traditional Thai food so we’re very happy with our choice. The pork satay was as...expected, the sauce would have been better if it was more peanuts, spicy pork salad, very spicy , close to our tolerance level. Pork with Ginger and and fried chicken with big flat noodle both really well prepared . In summery , ‘nice good food, more of a young persons place .More

Food was so-so. Veggie was fresh but sauce too salty. Pineapple fried rice edible if hungry but nothing fantastic. Quite bland, not fragrant. Saw an earlier review saying massaman curry (beef) was good, tried it. Beef was nice and tender but the curry really falls...short. Curry was thin and salty. Not up to standard for asians. Ok maybe if you are Caucasian.More

We ate here two days in a row. Service is quick, you can see how many staff they have working back of house. The beef in the curry was very tender. Would 100% recommend the khao soi, pad thai, and the properly filled fried veg...spring rolls. Prices are cheap considering the central location.More

No photos to share because everything was gobbled up very quickly. Tasty Thai dishes. Busy restaurant but service was quick and service staff were somewhat friendly in their own way. Would recommend this restaurant!

Good tasting food. We found their version of chicken and cashew nut to be slightly different to versions in southern Thailand. We enjoyed the dish. Good quick service in a busy restaurant.

Didn’t want to walk too far and it was getting late in the evening. Popped in and ordered veggie (excellent), tom kah Kai (tasted good but not very hot, boiling) and fried egg noodles with pork (the wok was definitely not sizzling and food partly...cooked). A shame reallyMore

Pai is the kind of tourist trap that has a lot of bad restaurants. Happily, this place isn't one of them. We ate three meals here over two days, and they were all good. We would particularly recommend the khao soy and the pork satay....Service was fast and friendly, and it is very good value.More
