Delicious food and ambient atmosphere

The staff at Earth Tone are lovely and welcoming! The atmosphere is very chilled and relaxed. We ended up spending a long time just chatting and relaxing. I had the Buddha bowl and an iced Americano both of which were delicious! The food and drinks came quickly, and the Buddha bowl was huge and really fresh! The tempeh was cooked perfectly and the dressing was so tasty! If you’re after fresh, healthy vegan and vegetarian food then this is the place! We would definitely return and highly recommend! . . . The cafe also has a little shop where you can by organic, natural products!

Vegan ice cream and cakes

We were passing and just planned to look at the menu. Then we saw the vegan ice cream and banana bread, it was hot, so we thought why not... The banana bread was amazing, it's usually my favourite type of cake and this one didn't disappoint. It was very tasty and moist. We had coconut vanilla and match flavoured ice creams. The coconut vanilla was great, the matcha had an unusual flavour, we have not had matcha many times before so it's a flavour we're not used to. I have to say the flavour grew on me the more I had. Both ice creams were incredibly thick and creamy. We saw some people at the next table having tempeh salads and they looked amazing. Staff were lovely and we will definitely be back for a proper lunch.

Delicious food - Great prices - But not everyone wants a dog next to her table

Delicious food. Their tempeh is good, and as my name suggests, I love tempeh. The food is fresh and the prices are spot on. Friendly service and a lovely place to sit. Only comment I would make: dogs don't belong in a restaurant. Some people seem to like it, but I prefer to eat my food in peace without a needy dog, scratching itself, next to my table.

Check your receipts - they overcharge!

At first I thought they made an honest error (got table numbers/orders mixed), until they did it on each of my 5 visits. Request to double-check your tab to make sure you are not only paying for just the items you order, but that they are not overcharging you on what you did order. This happened with my friend as well - a bit disheartening as the place is already somewhat pricey (for the portion size and quality). Also, the staff seems a bit overworked or tired, not sure which, but I overheard they only make 400 bhat a day. Considering how expensive it as (and the fact that they are discretely overcharging), I couldn't believe it. Part of the reason I go to places like this (versus cooking for myself) is to support the locals in a way that would give them a better quality of life and opportunities (and this place can surely do better than 400 bhat day for their staff). (((Instead, you can go to 'Blossom' Restaurant (2 minute scooter ride from Earth Tone), or you can visit Mook or Kwan on Walking Street night market. Kwan makes delicious, organic Burmese Salads and Avocado Salads. Mook owns '#1 Street Vegan' (across from the temple, near Edible Jazz) . Incredible little place. There are a variety of menu options, and she also makes raw/organic cakes & desserts. She is so masterful in her chef-ing technique. A true food artist and one of my favourite spots in all SE Asia.)))

*Must read for Celiacs or people following a strict gluten free diet* Me and my partner decided to go here for breakfast - the key reason for choosing this place was that they advertised having GF options. When we arrived we sat down and got a menu. On the menu there were many GF options, which as you can imagine, I was very happy about. I decided on the avocado omelette with GF bread. To order here you have to write the order on a piece of paper then go up to the till. On the paper I wrote in capitals *GLUTEN ALLERGY* and made it clear to the server that my dish was to be gluten free. When it arrived it looked amazing and I took a bite of the bread - it was great, but my partner was suspicious that it wasn't gluten free - he was right!! The owner who served us apologised and took it away to be cooked again, but as all celiacs know the damage had already been done. When the plate came back in turned out that only the bread had been replaced everything else was the same. The owner didn't understand that this was unacceptable as the omelette had been with the other bread. He eventually accepted and got the omelette remade but the GF toast wasn't replaced again. By this point I was extremely bloated from the gluten so couldn't even eat much of what they had recooked. On the way out I decided to explain a bit more about the seriousness of Celiacs Disease as I assumed they didn't know much about it. The owner said that he did know about the seriousness of it but if I'm honest this annoyed me more. As someone who knows about it should have acted with more care (ie: checked back to see if I was okay, known about recooking EVERYTHING to stop contamination, reassured me that they were going to cook it right etc). For Celiac suffers mistakes like this can put them in bed for days. He said that the reason for the mistake was a miscommunication, which isn't a good enough excuse for me when you're dealing with allergies, medical issues and serious dietary restrictions (Just to note the owner was American/Canadian so there wasn't language miscommunication). They took my meal off the bill but we still paid for my partner's food and our drinks. This was just my experience, if you want to go here I would just triple check everything before eating 🙂

Very nice discovery

Very beautiful place a little remote from the city. Full of gluten-free options, they are very accommodating to change a dish or replace a food in case of an allergy. The quality and quantity are there. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff very welcoming.

Amazing gluten free options

Gluten free bread was the best I had in Thailand. They also had gluten free waffles. I ate here 5 times and didn’t get sick at all. Staff were so so kind and you can pre order a loaf of bread the day before to take with you travelling if you want. Highly recommend.

Very good food in a treehouse ambience

We had a great lunch here and I would highly recommend it. Food was excellent and it felt like eating in a treehouse. A bit pricey, but expected for good vegan food. Nice attached shop too.

Happy, alive food at fair prices. The good vibes coming from this wonderful cafe are strong and nourishing. The friendly and intelligent staff, the shanti spacious kitchen on view, the local produce and incredibly high quality meals. Plenty of vegan options. I could go on. This cafe blew our minds. Thank you to all involved.

Top vegetarian Restaurant

Even the western food is amazing. Our 5 year old wanted spaghetti and it was great (tomato sauce and the pesto one). The thai food was also amazing. Very friendly owner. Expect it to be packed in High season.

Poor Service

I frequent here often and really like their tempeh dishes. I’ve noticed one of the girls is less friendly to me than other customers ( no hellos or thanks yous ) . However, Today she literally threw my credit card at me. Terrible. I also question the hygiene afte reading other comments because ive been sick twice now in pai and am wondering if they’re related.
