We have been fortunate enough to stay at the Layana Resort on Koh Lanta on three occasions now and have had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant for breakfast and dinner including a fantastic buffet on New Year’s Eve. There is a mouthwatering menu...with additional daily specials and it’s not always that easy to choose! It’s not just the food that makes this restaurant so special - the staff are the best around. Friendly, professional and extremely efficient always with a smile on their face. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The chefs are rarely seen but, believe me, they deserve a special mention. Beautifully presented and very flavoursome plates of foods and, if you’re eating dinner, leave room for one of the superb sweets…chocolate lava cake and apple crumble being our favourites. The New Year’s Eve buffet was magnificent with all sorts of dishes of Thai and international foods available. Everything from the selection of salads, various Thai curries and other dishes, the barbecue station and the sweet section made for an exceptional evening and it was good to see all the restaurant kitchen staff make an appearance for a group photo. Make no mistake, the food here is seriously good and we can’t wait to visit again.More

A lovely restaurant, overlooking the Andaman Sea. The innovative executive Chef Patrick has created a miriad of delicious menus. Western and Thai dishes are available. Khun Zay the f&b manager is an absolute gem for this establishment as is Khun Goong and the team. The...establishment is very clean and follows all Covid precautions. Highly recommended.More

We had the great chance to experience a perfect sunset dinner at the beach organised from Layana‘s Seasky restaurant team. First of all, the set up was wonderful. We had our own little „cabana“ decorated with lights, very romantic. The sunset that day was great,...perfectly fitting together with a delicious surprise menu arranged by Chef Khun Vitti. It was a Thai-inspired menu modulated to our wishes for fish and vegetarian dishes. The amuse-gueule were some sesame bread sticks with pumpkin pesto, followed by prawn cake and a deep fried prawn stick with some Wasabi cream, delicious and perfectly matching together!! The next course was a Quinoa risotto with a Sous-Vide-egg and some Gouda cheese… WOW :-) Main dish was not even less an eyecatcher consisting of a whole bonless Seabass filled with green curry, words can‘t describe it properly, so see pictures. The dessert consisted of a coconut cream with coconut ice and sticky rice balls, what an innovative as well as delicious combination. The final was made by a little „Layana treasure box“ filled with a chocolate praliné and a Yuzu coffee :-) We were more than overwhelmed by the menu that Chef Patrick Vitti performed (after this experience we can well understand that he won the Iron Chef Thailand conpetition!!), by the whole setup and of course by the whole service that went up and above to fulfill all our wishes (especially to mention Khun Sumalai, Khun Siri and Khun Zay). If you ever have the possibility to experience Seaky‘s kitchen, please try, it‘s worth every visit. Thank you for everything! Khun Dao and Khun PatrickMore

The biggest disappointment with this restaurant is when you have finished your meal! It really is one of those rare places where you don’t want your meal to end and you just wish there was always food on your plate so you can continue enjoying...the amazing flavors of beautifully cooked and well presented food. We ate here on two evenings - one meal from the a la carte menu and the other being a special meal for the Loy Kratong festival. The menu provides a choice between Thai and Mediterranean dishes or a combination of the two. The menu is helpfully illustrated and is in Thai, English and German. Having stayed at the Layana Resort previously and eaten in the restaurant before, I think we have sampled most of the Thai dishes and would recommend all of them! The ribs were succulent and full of flavour and the fish dishes were some of the best we have eaten. A word of warning! Make sure you have room for one of the sweets. Our favourites were the chocolate lava and the apple crumble. It almost worth coming back to Koh Lanta just to eat them! The set menu for Loy Kratong was thoroughly enjoyable as it featured two dishes from the four regions of Thailand - South, North, East and West. Every dish beautifully presented and giving us a tour of Thailand. Once again, every dish was full of flavour and left the taste buds tingling with anticipation of the next dish. Finally a comment about the hardworking and professional staff…they are the best! Nothing is too much trouble for them whether at breakfast or dinner. They are indeed a credit to the resort and despite all the difficulties of the past two years, they have maintained high standards and professionalism. To Chef Patrick and all his staff - thank you so much. We will see you at New Year!More

Five star quality food + service in Koh Lanta that is well worth the price. We didn't expect much being in the island but every dish served was not only aesthetically appealing, but they were very delicious. One of the best restaurant experiences that we...had in Thailand. Will definitely come back if we ever visit the island again.More

Imagine sitting by the golden sands listening to the sounds of the sea maybe witnessing an amazing sunset whilst sipping a glass of wine. Add to that several plates of delicious food, beautifully presented and served by friendly, attentive and professional staff and you have...the SeaSky restaurant which forms part of the Layana resort and Spa. You can study the dinner menu whilst enjoying a cocktail from the equally impressive Sundowner Bar and try and decide which dishes you want with a choice of Thai or Mediterranean food. There's no rush and all the available dishes are illustrated in the menu. Make no mistake, this is a seriously good restaurant, serving a wide variety of dishes including a set menu which does remove some of the difficult decision making! From the starters, our favourites were the pork ribs, papaya salad and satay. There are some excellent fish dishes to have as a main course and also the Pad Thai was particularly good. A word of warning! Make sure you still have room for one of the wonderful sweets with the chocolate lava cake and the apple crumble highly recommended. Eating at this restaurant really added to our enjoyment of this great resort and we can't wait to return.More

We ate at Layana beach view restaurant on Christmas night. The atmosphere was good, the view to die for, and the meal excellent. Service was attentitive and excellent. Based on this we went again on 27 December, again, service was excellent, view was to die...for. Unfortunately though, the food was slop. We were told the chef had chaned since Christmas night. This was obvious, the meal was now 3rd rate and tasteless. Not worth the money second time round.More

We had a few meals here during our 3 day stay and enjoyed every dish we tried. We liked the ideas and flavour combinations that Chef Patrick put into his dish creations. At atmosphere and view from the restaurant are amazing. This compliment with one the greatest service minded we ever experienced. The reataurant staff were very apologetic for having a big group with live music and offer us a nice outdoor table and looked after us...so well that we feel very welcomed. We didn’t realise that the head chef was the winner of Iron Chef Thailand 2020 and the food did reflect this title. We can feel how attentive and delicate the kitchen was in preparing the food. The head chef himself also personally greeted every table and gave us a personalised service for my birthday dinner. At the end of the meal, they even offered us a tour of the hotel property and a look inside one of their rooms so that we consider staying with them in the future. This place made us feel special and we would totally recommend for anyone who look for quality time. In addition, the price we paid were not costly at all compared what we would normally pay elsewhere with such a quality. Thanks to the staff!!More
