The idea for these restaurants (in Ecuador they're very popular) is a carbon copy of Starbuck´s or Caribou Coffee. The difference is they use Ecuadorian ingredients to prepare their coffee, chocolate and cakes, and therefore, the quality is quite acceptable. Besides, the staff is usually friendly and well trained. The place is cozy and in some locations crowded all the... More

We stopped here for a break while walking the Malecón 2000 on a Sunday morning. I had the omelette sandwich (egg, cheese, ham) and my husband had a slice of chocolate cake with coffee. The sandwich was pretty typical, a hard roll with the omelette folded and tucked in. It was just what I was looking for to have a... More

They have really good coffee drinks that remind you of back home in the states (yes I am a coffee snob originally from Seattle !). The only issue I had was the prices were the same as the states but a good reliable coffee.

The day we visited the Malecon was very hot and so we retreated into Sweet & Coffee for a cold drink. Very friendly employees and no one rushed us as we took time to decide what to purchase. Great cappuccino!

Sweet & Coffee here in Ecuador, is the Starbucks of the USA. So you can imagine: it's popular, it's good and it's about everywhere!

I really enjoyed this café. They had a lot of options for coffee's, milkshakes, and pastries. I do not speak Spanish so ordering was a little tricky. But the staff was very helpful and patient. Keep in mind that anything extra such as cream on your milkshake or coffee is an extra charge.

This place is always wonderful! Their coffee is good and reasonable and their dessert are great for your sweet fix. (especially the cheesecake and apple pie) They are pretty sweet so a lot of times you can easily split it between two or even three.

If your from the states and like Dunkin donuts then try this out. Dunkin over here isn't the same and most likely you won't like the coffee. Try this local spot and you will enjoy it. Most Ecuadorian coffee is black and very strong. Hope this help some of you travelers

Sweet & Coffee is a very good option when you need a good cup of coffee - many options available - and something sweet. In Sweden we call it fika!
