Had a great dinner here. Fresh food, expertly prepared, giving it just that bit of extra.
Large choice of wines by the glass, the recommendation they made to go along with our dishes matched very well. Nice setting inside in the restaurant.
We are here twice last year and considered it to be one of the best places to eat in Rovinj. We returned this year and we’re disappointed.
The service was super slow and we struggled to get our hisses refilled.
The truffle ravioli was dry...and bland.
The chard potatoes that came with our main was cold so we had to send them back but by the time they came back our main dish was cold!
What was really disappointing was the owner’s attitude when we altered her to our experience after the meal. She said that they had been really busy last week because of a festival and all the staff were tired and that we should be more understanding as if we were wrong to expect a decent level of service.
I’m sorry to say that we will not be returning.
A much better restaurant is actually “Balbi” in the old town. Food was excellent and service very good.More
great restaurant. we dined here 2 out of 3 nights it was so good. loved the carpaccio, squid with polenta. staff was great! so warm and welcoming. dined inside and outside- both lovely. definitely recommend!
So so disappointed for our last night in Rovinj. From the start you’re in a little courtyard off two narrow streets with wheelie bins opposite your table. We appreciate attentive service but this felt like they wanted us ‘in and out’ to get another sitting....Within 20 minutes we’d had our first course , within 40 minutes our second course. I understand that restaurants need the custom post covid but for €150 this was by some margin our only disappointing dining experience Such a shame to end a lovely week with a poor experience. Before you go to Giannino go to Puntalino, Santa Croce, Graciano, or Brassiere Adriatic. All much much better and actually less pricey. Disappointed…More
An excellent meal with superb service. Top class fish both raw and cooked. The pasta was delicious and the portions very generous. An extensive wine list to choose from and staff to guide you in your choice. Highly recommended. We will definitely go back there...very soon. Highly recommended, you need to reserve your table!More
Good local food we had spicy shrimp, a mixed starter and octopus and potato stew. All the dishes were tasty and well cooked. The service was quick and efficient. We sat inside as outside was fully booked.
We booked a table for 7pm and at the phone they told us we had time from 7 to 9pm to arrive and eat so they made us understand we had a table reserved for 2 hours.
Since we are polite people we called at...6.50pm because we realised we were a little late but nobody answered the phone.
So we arrived al 7.32 pm and we asked for our table as at the phone they made us understand we would have one for the whole 2 hours and what was their answer when asking for our reserved table? “you can’t come whenever you want, we gave you table away” not caring about what they told us at the phone the first and only time they answer the phone.
They were very arrogant and rude and they sent us away.
Thankfully we were able to have a better evening anyway.
So be careful, you have to be in time and be lucky to find someone that pick up the phone if you want to be polite and warn that you’re a little late.More
