Avoid!! We got sick after eating here. The food is very basic and is also covered in so much garlic it is overpowering.

Waiter was overworked and grumpy, although the maitre d who lured us in was charming. Beautiful setting in which we were served lukewarm soup (which waiter claimed should be that way), cold and tasteless bread (after asking for it twice) over-salted mussels, etc. Only the...fish was decent. Waiter refilled our waters and wine to inflate and was downright surly about overcharging, saying we got the wrong menu and throwing a twenty Kuna bill at us because we questioned it. Had a very good meal here, the octopus salad was very good and my main entree the seafood stew was very good as well. My wife’s lamb was also tasty. The restaurant has a nice secluded atmosphere and is a great place for couples. The...dinner was probably one of the more expensive ones we had while on Hvar but was worth it for the fresh seafood. Don't go here. The food is terrible and the service is non existent. Been to a lot of restaurants in Hvar this is by far the worst.

Firstly, I never write reviews whilst still away, I usually write them when back home, but tonight’s experience of this place has caused such alarm to my husband and I, I am now penning this whilst Sat on my balcony before I retire. My husband...& I passed this place earlier today whilst out for the day. The setting looked lovely, as did the menu, so I approached the waiter at the door & enquired about making a reservation. The waiter was very friendly & was only more than happy to make a reservation for us. We arrived later that evening to a full restaurant with a lovely ambiance of people enjoying their meals. The waiters were very friendly in taking our orders & answering questions about various dishes. All seemed fine. The starter of mussels arrived, & whilst a few were closed so we did not eat them, this can unfortunately happen at no fault of the restaurant, & so we enjoyed the wide open mussels. Then the main courses arrived!!! I had shelled scampi, which I have to say was very tasty. However, my husband ordered green tagliatelle with clams. Every single clam on the dish was closed. My husband called the waiter over & explaining the issue with the dish requested a fresh one. The waiter apologised & said he would get a fresh dish. Within 20 seconds a new dish appeared! It was quite clear someone had got a knife & just opened a bad set of dead clams! My husband swiftly called the waiter & explained he knew what had happened & was not at all happy. The waiter apologised, said he understood & said he would get a fresh dish. As my dish of scampi was sat getting cold I decided to eat this. Twenty minutes later I had finished my scampi & still no sign of a fresh dish for my husband. At which point my husband says, let’s get the bill & go somewhere else. My husband again called over the waiter & said we wanted the bill but expected a discount. The waiter agreed. Awaiting a further ten minutes we decided to go to the front desk. We explained to the host at the main entrance how unsatisfied we were with the meal. He also apologised but said there was nothing he could do. My husband asked to see the manager & so we were directed to a woman sat at a back table, slouching & clearly could not care less what was happening in the restaurant. When we explained what had happened she denied it & said the fish was good. When we disagreed she then said they had some issues with the chef. Absolutely aghast, my husband threw down some notes in payment what he felt was acceptable for what we had eaten, & we left! This is such a disappointment to our last night in Hvar. There are so many lovely places to eat at, but please be very careful this place does not give you food poisoning!!!!More

This place is seriously really good. Not sure why some reviews say it’s not. We just went today. First of all the little garden of orange trees was super cute. Secondly the service was top notch. Our server was attentive and kind. Lastly the food...was legit. We got the sautéed shrimp with arugula, cuttle fish risotto, seafood spaghetti. All of them were really tasty. I have to give the sautéed shrimp a shout-out because it was so fresh, tasty and crispy. The crisped arugula was a nice added touch. The price is average for Croatia, which I’ve realized is higher than Italy but cheaper than california.More

Our experience at this restaurant has been absolutely amazing from the moment we were greeted at the door. The restaurant is situated inside a beautiful orange tree garden paradise. They have an excellent wine selection and their house wine is excellent. The appetizers of pršut,...cheese, olives, octopus salad were outstanding. The entrees were equally outstanding from their risotto, squid, seafood pasta, gnocchi tris, and scampi. Tomislav, our waiter, was the most knowledgeable, attentive, pleasant and fun. He made us truly feel special. We finished our meal with shots of their homemade orange rakija. Absolutely phenomenal. You’re stay in Hvar will not be complete if you leave without eating here.More

Visited this restaurant 3 times in one week. Best food and service in Hvar. Loved the seafood pasta!!

Food came cold (notably soup and fries) Slow service Cesar salad had 1 bit of chicken and barely any dressing Caprese salad had cheap rubbery mozzarella Vegetables were bland We asked for butter for the bread and it came 30min late and it seemed like...a whole pack of butter chopped up on a plate The bread was good - so that’s all we really ate… Overall - waiters were nice, they took a couple of the dishes off the bill (because we sent them back) but the food was not worth it at allMore

Just excellent. The staff were lovely (special mention for George) and the food excellent. Try the tuna - a nice fatty cut grilled to perfection. They make a ‘orancello’ shot from the trees in the garden which is liberally distributed and very tasty. We eat...out most nights and this is a stand out experience. You won’t regret it.More

Picked the restaurant at random then while enjoying our pre meal drinks read the recent reviews . Have to say we were a bit worried but I cannot fault our meal . Our waiter Tom was the most attentive snd amazing host . The meals...were fabulous and they altered a main course to my request . It was a stroke of good fortune that found us at this tremendous restaurant. Our waiter Tom was a superstar. Enthusiastic and determined we feel in love with the wine and the cuisine - he was the consummate professional. The oysters were sensational - the...fish platter scrumptious.
