I really love the kabobs served in the pyrex dish. Every time I have to go to UAB Highlands we make it a point to go late in the day so we can walk across the street to eat supper at Pita Stop. If you like Mediterranean food you will love Pita Stop. They have another location in Cahaba Heights... More

If I could get this kind of flavor at home I'd eat it every day. Quick, excellent service with ample portions and freshest ingredients. The chicken and lamb is the best in Birmingham. I love the awesome rice and hummus that comes with every meal. This place is perfect for a fast lunch, business meeting, or romantic dinner.

The good: Good pricing for the most part. The bad: Not authentic. Menu only consists of a few items. The rice was out of a box. Uncle bens wild rice I would bet money on it. I had the steak sandwich. The steak was thin but well seasoned. The roll was average. Topped with lettuce tomato and mayo and musturd.... More

Very few places in the south can prepare lamb in true Greek style. The Pita Stop is one of the few places that do it perfectly! I enjoyed the lamb kabobs this evening and they were the best that I have EVER had! I have lamb every where I travel if it is on the menu. They were cooked perfectly... More

With a family member in Highland Hospital we just popped across the street to The Pita Stop for lunch. The "highly recommended" beef kabob I would highly recommend! Same for the lamb meatball pita. With the beef was great homemade hummus and a large salad. Service was fine. Atmosphere homey. Prices reasonable. Would easily go back.

Any time you go to the Pita Stop you will not be disappointed. Large portions of Lebanese food and one of the best filet mignon in the city. Both locations serve up tasty dishes. One of our favorite places to go to celebrate family events. There's something on the menu for everyone!

Went with family. We had the hummus, which was the best I have ever eaten, grape leaves, grilled chicken, kaftan sandwich, ham and cheese omelet, seafood and chicken kabobs. The kids grilled chicken plates were enormous and the kabob plates were served in a Pyrex glass casserole dish! Most of the dishes had fresh fruit with them and the fruit... More

My husband and I stopped for dinner and I was seriously impressed and surprised I had not been here before! Incredible food and exceptional service! I had a seafood kabob and hubby had catch of the day. One of my top 10 all-time-favs.

Fast, friendly service and terrific and plentiful food! I had the kufta kebab plate, and my spouse had the lamb kebab plate. Both were delicious and came with generous helpings of rice pilaf and salad, with some hummus and pita. We would definitely come back here; we hear the falafels are great, too!
