the food here was solid - not spectacular - and offered a decent combo of Khmer and French food (I'd go with the latter here). the highlight is the garden setting - a lovely oasis for stopping in and cooling down midday. Cocktails were strong and fantastic.

We had a steak and salad, both were excellent. Also the coffee and ice cream are really good! Highly recommend!

The Pros: The staff were very friendly, it was a nice setting. The cons: The food was absolutely terrible and the prices were ridiculous. I'm going to focus my review on the fact that you go to a restaurant to enjoy the food, and the food here was awful. The only reason I didn't give the place 1 star was... More

This place is in a lovely old French colonial building in a beautiful setting. It isn't airconditioned (is anything in Battambang?) but cooled down ok with the fan, which we had requested due to the heat and mosquitoes. We ordered spring rolls, the chicken breast with bacon and mashed potatoes, the beef salad and Khmer beef curry. That and a... More

The specials board was one of our favourites. The salmon gnocci was excellent. We both tries the steak on different evenings and that was also very good. The happy hour was very "happy"and they have a great range or wines by the glass or bottle.

The food at Au Cabaret Vert was the best of fine dining and Khmer cooking. We loved the Salmon Gnocchi especially. Good wine selection, with white wine that was properly chilled and a good bid pour!

Lovely hotel and garden with a great restaurant. The owners Mathieh and Sotty have returned after a spell of illness so their normal excellent service has resumed. I wish them all the very best.

We were staying in the Cabaret Vert. It is quiet and beautiful. Food is excellent. The swimming pool too hot to enjoy it.
