We were invited buy a guy to come to the rooftopbar. There is a chill vibe; hammocks, pillows and you can play your own music. There is a pool table. The cocktails are good too.

My friend and I decided to take this cooking class based on Trip Advisor reviews. While it wasn't a *bad* experience, it could have been better. The chef/hostel owner was clearly hungover or tired from the night before. In fact, he said that he was up until 4 am and would we consider coming back the next day (sounds like... More

I'm going to start of by saying when I first entered smokin' pot I wasn't expecting much but as I stayed her longer and longer I fell in love with this place. First of the rooms are super cheap and affordable ($1.50) and at the time he had no dorm space but he made room for my by putting a... More

I finally found a good cooking class in Cambodia when trying the cooking class of smoking pot. It is different from other places because you can learn how to cook many dishes and not only the lok lak, amok and so on that ALL restaurants propose you to cook. It s up to you and the people of the group... More

We just did a morning cooking class at the Smoking Pot. First we went to the market and bought the ingredients we needed. Not like most classes we actually picked up every single ingredient and each ended up carrying a bag. We cooked 2 meal, one fish one chicken, and got 2 free bottles of water. The chef speaks great... The owner Vannak is Cambodian and he is loves to teach you how to make Amok, Lok lak and other traditional dishes. We started with a trip to the market... More

I was able to book myself into the next day's 9:30am - 12:30pm cooking class as the sixth attendee the afternoon before. This was my first cooking class, and it was really great fun (on 28 Feb 2015). Vannak is the owner and chef, and is a nice guy with excellent English, and you can see he really cares about... More

Travelling with a group of 8, we started the experience with a trip to the market (with all its scents and sights) to purchase ingredients needed for our cooking class. A few of the group had not done much cooking before but were gently coached. The end result was deliciously amazing. (stir fried spicy chicken and amok fish)The memory causes... More

I took a cooking class with smokin' pot and it was just AMAZING! We started in the market in battambang where we bought all the necessary ingredients for our preparations and had a chance to have some more explanations on asian spices, vegetables, fruits, etc. Then we started cooking three different dishes and enjoyed our meal all together (only three... Good choice of dishes at reasonable prices. Enjoyable sitting outside watching the world go by. The amok dish was so tasty.
