We are from São Paulo, we are in Itajaí and we went for lunch with our family of 4 people, very tasty food, fair prices even for the location and such. The experience was really worth it. The only caveat to the service was that the waiters were initially unwilling to serve us and offer a more intense experience, as I had already researched on their Instagram, it was possible to get an idea of the dishes and drinks in the house, otherwise I would certainly be lost. I suggest that you who are going do the same

German restaurant that stands out

Located in Vila Germânica, this German-themed restaurant stands out from the rest. Ambient music in German, typical dishes and the flagship offering of more than 40 craft beer options. The atmosphere is beautiful, pleasant and the service is very good, with helpful and polite waiters. Among the food we ordered, it is worth mentioning the Eisbein portion and the Roasted Cracklings, which were very good, and the Stuffed Duck, which was excellent, especially the sauerkraut. Even though I'm not a beer connoisseur, I couldn't help but try some of the many options and they were all excellent. The ones that stood out the most were the Samurai Belgian Ale and especially the Konigs Rauchbier, which has a unique smoky flavor. For dessert, we were able to try beer ice cream with red fruit syrup. The only negative point is that due to the large number of options, the waiters sometimes end up changing some beers or even forgetting them. But when they brought one that wasn't ordered, they immediately brought the correct one and didn't charge, which is a positive point.

Lively and good food

Bier Vila has a very varied craft beer list and I thought the kitchen wasn't up to snuff, but the food really surprised me. So much so that we had dinner there on our first day and went back for lunch on the second. The price is fair and even cheap when you compare the same level of food in Rio de Janeiro. We liked the snacks and the dishes as well. I left photos of the menu. The bar had music at night and also at lunchtime (we went for dinner on a Friday and lunch on a Saturday).

Best waiter Cedmar

Let's start with Cedmar's sensational service, this São Paulo native, almost German, makes the best hackepeter with mastery and all the preparation in front of you, where you choose the complementary ingredients from 12 options. With patience, knowledge and joy he prepares a typical dish to leave any tourist or native happy and satisfied. The liter beer is just a joy thanks to the waiter Guilherme Augusto. forgotten order is reheated

FORGOTTEN ORDER, reheated food. Our order took 1h30, they served the tables next to us. Then they came to ask what we asked for because they had lost our command. They brought the cold dishes, we asked for them to be remade and they returned reheated, still cold and hard. I don't recommend it!

Disappointed with sausage sandwich

Ordered the most traditional dish possible... Bread with sausage... I was really excited to get my meal but what i got instead was horrible.. The bread was was not crunchy and they had something that seemed like cheese from a can..i was really disappointed.. If anything this should be their easiest dish to make and somehow they messed it up.. Very disappointing....

Specialized in beers, but not so much

Nice beer list. Dozens of taps, with an emphasis on breweries from across the state of SC. Also with several options of imported bottles. But the service is poor... The staff is clumsy and unwilling. To drink something different, it's almost bureaucratic. It's not on the menu, you can't get it at the register, the waiters don't know what you want... When it was time to serve, they threw me two random glasses, which had nothing to do with the beer I ordered. I even lost the desire to take the second one and dropped out.

Try sensational pork knuckle!

What wonderful food! We decided to find out through evaluating the app. They didn't make a mistake, it's really good. There's a lot of food, it easily serves 2 people. We tried pork knuckle, typical German food. Sensational!

Don't ask for stuffed duck!

Worst stuffed duck I've ever eaten! Horrible! The pork knuckle is good, but nothing saves the terrible experience with the stuffed mallard! They should remove this aberration they make from the menu!

German Influenced Comfort Food

Located in Vila Germanica in Blumenau, there is a heavy Germany influence. As a result, there are a number of German food selection at Bier Vila, including sausage, schnitzel, and goulash. My entrée was the Kassler or smoked pork dish. It came with sauerkraut, red cabbage and mashed potatoes. I also confiscated a few sticks of my colleague's fried polenta. Although I’m not German, good comfort food is a universal language. Since winter was approaching – a far cry from a icy, windy Chicago winter – we dined al fresco dining under a heat lamp. The food was very satisfying.

Great bier, reasonable food, inattentive kitchen

Bier Vila is located in Villa Germanica Park (not really a park, but the site where Oktoberfest is organized), not far from Downtown. A great place to try the excellent biers from Santa Catarina microbreweries; you can order either tall glasses, or the 4-bier tasters, which allow you to try 4 150-ml varieties. The German-food menu features the best sausages, eisbein, kassler ... produced in the state, but the somehow lousy kitchen can send to your table one cold sausage together with an overcooked one in one dish (this happened in two successive visits).

Delicious "Blumenau" beers...Food was decent

Went there primarily to try some interesting "Blumenau" brand beers and wasn't at all disappointed...Had the "Bierland Bock", "Das Bier Stark' (a Scottish ale), and their "Weiss" (a decent Hefeweizen)...Food was OK (typical schnitzel and wurst platters.... Suggestion: they should add "sauerbraten" to the menu for the German "full effect")...Don't waste time with the "imported" or "exclusive" beers on their nice "Carta de Chopes" (Brazilians: Thank you!....In the last 10 or so years, you've really produced some wonderful "cervejas artesanais"...You don't need to be beer snobs and order fancy foreign brands, whether German, Belgian...or American (Like Brooklyn Brewery's products, which cost a small fortune per bottle)....I know now I can retire to Brazil and enjoy great microbrews!

Delicious beer and food!

I've been here and had a very good experience with "Capivara", Indian Pale Ale brewed here in Blumenau. The food was great, I had the Kasler and it was very good. Smashed potatoes wasn't the way I was used to have Kasler. This would be the only thing I would change.

Great beer - Capivara!

Come for the beer! I thoroughly enjoyed the Capivara Little IPA and I am by no means a beer lover. I made an exception with the Capivara. I intended to have one but the taste compelled me to have four. It went well with the pork knuckle!

Heard about the good bier they serve

And it was true. I tasted the "Capivara", which according to them got a prize in Belgium last year. Completely different experience in drinking beer. I need to be open to taste new flavors. Waiters are friendly and knowledegeable regarding beer, so you don't need to be an expert, just ask the waiters (as it should be, right?). They even have a beer store at the back, where you can find some beers to bring back home (like I did). You can't come to Blumenau and leave this place behind.
