We went there after reading some good reviews, therefore we had high expectations. The food is just average. The picanha and the sausages were good, but the sides not that great. The broccoli rice was a bit greasy, french fries tasted liked they were done with overly used oil. Again - decent but not that great.

We arrived with no reservation on a Saturday night 8.30pm and were seated instantly. With 3 mins if being seated we had a sausage on our plate and a cold beer in our hand! Of course the menu is full Portuguese so we ordered via previous reviews. The steak was cooked beautifully and was so tasty, I don't get the... More

I jumped a taxi literally across town and the taxi fare there and back was nearly the restaurant bill...but boy am I glad that I did. I was starting to get a bit disheartened about true Brazilian food (mind you my taste buds are still recovering from Curitiba) when I read this review on tr advisor I thought-i need to... More

I cannot recomment this place enough! It was the best dinner we had and the best service we received during the whole stay in Rio plus really cheap. 150R$ for 3 including service, 4 cocktails, main and amazing sausages to start with. Deffinatelly a must location plus it is well located if you want to get a drink afterwards. Picanha... More

We popped in here after touring the Botanic Gardens and what a great place to eat! Stylish Cariocas filled the place. We felt welcome too. The waiter will offer you some grilled sausages from a skewer. Take one and you can die happy. I'm not even a sausage lover! We split Picanha (grilled juicy steak cut into strips) between four... Try the picanha with broccoli rice, a must! If you asked for a cold beer you will see why the cariocas are happy!

A friend of ours in Rio suggested we dine here on our first night in Ipanema. It was just a short taxi ride to the less touristy Gávea area and this restaurant is on a corner of Praça Santos Dumont by the race course. It is also close to other bars and eateries that also look interesting. The large outdoor... More

This is a must go place. You won't find too many tourists. It is close to a university do its full of young people, having a beer, talking. The best dish, in my opinion, is the "Picanha a Braseiro" It comes straight from the grill together with broccoli rice, banana farofa and fries. It is delicious!!! The place is always... More

We were 'newbies' to Rio and due to our staying in Gavea almost stumbled upon this restaurant. The food is fantastic and the service very local. We were the only tourists in the restaurant which was full of mainly young locals and families. Great fun with waiters explaining what we wanted as the menu is in Portugese only. I highly... More

This is another spot that all Cariocas love and I can see why! It is a very popular place in Rio, always lively and full of people, for its excellent picanha and good prices! You'll get there and it will be full, as always, and you may stand around and enjoy a few beers standing up and chatting for twenty... More
