We were staying in the hotel next door so decided to eat here. They had an iPad to show food and wine which was a fab idea. The wine we wanted, they didn't have. We did also notice that they were out of a few other wines. We ordered a red which unfortunately was not to our liking,it was rather sweet.... More

I was hesitant to go here due to some of the negative comments. However, I have zero regret in going. We have the fish rolls for starters which were delicious. They recommended the prawns moqecha which is their speciality and that was incredible! Service was first class and the waiter served our food to our plates. Nothing was an issue... More

We were told that this place was THE place to try seafood but found the food really pretty bland and very expensive. The ipad presentation for the wine list and deserts was a bit weird and the atmosphere was pretty sterile. This was our most expensive meal in Rio and probably our most disappointing.

We ate here a few times while we where in Rio during carnaval. The food was very very nice. It's all very fresh, tasty and filing. We've had the bobo and bocequa, the tapioca desert, the fried octopus starter is... just fantastic! The service was good, friendly and attentive. English is spoken well too. It's nice you can just eat... More

On our first evening in Rio we visited here for three reasons really wanted some fish having had so much meat over the previous two weeks and also it was next door to our hotel and finally it was recommended. After two weeks of hardly having any fish this was such a welcome change and we had a lovely meal.... More

We were passing and thought it would be a good place to eat. We ordered a prawn dish with rice and a sauce. The portions were small, the food was extremely bland and way over priced.

Had the Jardim do Mar which is a tasty variation of a paella. The portion was huge for two. We could have easily left away the starter. The cocktails where very well mixed. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. They are very customer centered and do all it takes to make you happy – even in your native language.

This restaurant offers great food, but the interiors were not top level, I found it slightly neglected and that spoiled the atmosphere. Other than that, a great dinner, I loved both food and wine and the staff was very nice.

Just superb food and good wine. Fabulous service (although the level of technology deployed by the restaurant seemed excessive). A wide-ranging menu of great seafood dishes. The servings are large so watch out for this. We had a delicious raw salmon dish as a starter and then one of the epically delicious Moquecas. And that was more than enough for... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
