Had dinner in this restaurant. Not a fancy place but you get decent sushis for a very reasonable price. I had a big combinaison menu but could not finish.

It is quite a simple place but has a decent food. I had the ceviche (not Japanese but tempting) and it was really good. The assortment of sushi was also good, and tuna was specially tasty. Shrimp tempura closed in a lower note, not crispy. Service is very friendly and efficient.

As the title explains, I think this is my preferred Japanese Food Restaurant with prices kind of high but in the average of Rio (Japanese Food is expensive in Rio unfortunately), very nice options in terms of the menu, and very cozy place. Recommended.

I have been going there a few times already: it's an easy and reasonably priced option for good sushi. You can order à la carte but they also have a "rodizo" which is great if you are hungry and don't want to spend a fortune. Service is nice and fast.

We had Sushi in a couple of places but this place was special. It has a great service, the price is really good, the food really, really good. We had a nice evening. The place keeps a relaxed atmosphere. It's not pretentious but cosy and warm. It feels like eating at Lapamaki is like eating in somewhere familiar, somewhere you... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
