Located at Copacabana fort at posto 6 on Copacabana beach , This cafe is next to traditional Colombo It`s a must see for tourists. It gets crowded on Sundays mornings for breakfast so it`s advisable to arrive before 10 am. There`s a fee of R$ 6 for admission in the fort. You can visit the military museum in the same... More

Great place to stop for a snack in the fort with a great view over the Copacabana. It's located at the end of the main road into the fort and outside tables are in the shade of trees making it a lovely place to relax.

The view of the sea is amazing, maybe we expected the same experience from the food. Tapioca dices were made of big pieces of fried tapiocas, which were raw inside. The bacon slices around the tapioca had no taste. We ordered 2 different types of salads, costing more than 40,00 reais and both had no taste at all. Even the... More

Went for Brunch the views and location is awesome. All outside seating so if it's windy or cloudy bring a jacket because you will be chilly. The food is good and the service was ok even though the staff spoke little to no English but for the most part that all of Brazil... Visit and follow our travel group on... More

The best caffe in rio de janeiro so far. The waiters were really nice but the service is really slow because the place was full.

You have to pay the Forte entrance fee of 6 real to enjoy the cafe.3 realfor the over 60/s. We had a sandwich, similar to BLT with delicious chips, followed by churros and chocolate. The staff are very friendly,a table by the wall gives a great view of the local surfers, and of course copy cabana beach.

I have been to the Cafe twice in the last two months and will return again. Try to get a table overlooking Copacabana Beach and enjoy a great sandwich, salad, cup of coffee or an ice cream. Their menu has something for everybody. The service is great, even when crowded. The staff were very nice on both of my visits. If... More

This is the second cafe as you walk through the fort. The first cafe were very rude and refused to serve us without a Brazilian phone number, my Brazilian daughter in law was very cross and left without explaining she could provide one. As we continued walking we found cafe 18 de Forte and they were very helpful, moving tables... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
