Have wanted to try this restaurant for a long while. Tonight we did, but wish we had not! Service poor. Music awful. Atmosphere/ambiance - none. Food, really not worth it and lacked originality. Needs a few basic things to make the place appealing. Could do with better wait staff. Change the old chairs to modern ones and that will make... More

Heard very good things of this place. Went for dinner on a Friday night. The place has about 10 tables in the bar area and most of their tables in the back. The back area was closed. They had one waiter and another gentleman that seemed to be the Manager or owner. Ordered dinner. Duck Risotto. Arrived glazed as if... More

We came there around 9pm and were full of enthusiasm after we read the reviews on tripadvisor. We were so dissapointed. The staff didnt understand English and we had to explain twice What we have ordered to two different waiters because they kept missunderstanding our order. when the food finally came it was really bad, overcooked and tasted like can-food!... For almost two weeks we've seen this restaurant every day while walking to the beach. We decided to give it a try and it's been a very good dinner overall. Good food, good people, good choice of wine by the glass and nice atmosphere. We recommend Vieira Souto!

Great atmosphere, refined food and superb hospitality. Host was well informed concerning wines and other drinks. Easily accessible from Ipanema or Copacabana.

All plates on the menu are exceptional, each with their simplicity and diversity that you don't find anywhere in Rio

The restaurant is nice, but too small and quiet. The food is good, but over priced! The drinks are definately over priced! for the restaurant of this range, they should know not to serve the red wine in a glass for the white one.

I have been to this restaurant at least four times over the years and must admit that I'm quite impressed with the quality of food and the consistency of such quality at each visit. They also have a good selection of wine to go with your pasta or risotto.

It is a different place. History, bar and restaurant are together. It is a place to revive a little bit an ancient Ipanema. I recomend to know.

Really nice staff, beautiful location, nice mood, tasteful menu. Ask for a table next to the balcony, be it on the first or second floor. I suggest the small sweet sausage as appetizer and the AMMA chocolate with ice cream dessert. Vallet service is offered, but it is an easily reacheable place by taxi or subway (General Osório stop, Ipanema... More
