Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Do not miss this restaurant when in Rio. Just look at the pictures. I can assure the food tastes as good as they look. Nice and interesting area also with lots of small shops and crowded streets. Nice, friendly and helpful staff too. I do not yet speak Portuguese so it helped!

We had a great lunch here after exploring Praça Republica and the busy streets of the Saara neighborhood. The owner was very nice and she spoke several languages. Would definitely recommend eating here!

I went there with my family for lunch several times, and got to try different dishes. Kebbe with yogurt was my favorite! Excellent service and huge portions!!

Within a maze of tiny streets lined with small shops you'll find this treasure. The portions are huge so don't get carried away with ordering. The stuffed grape leaves are the best I've had anywhere and the falafel and kofta were also good.

A friend recommends this restaurant to us, not a Brazilian specialty but a very good dish (Sirian/Lebanese).
We took the mix dish for 3 people + hummus with bread.
Very hearty dish.
You can go there without any problem.
Little extra Wifi available free of charge (ask for the code).

Centro
Downtown Rio is the place where this city was born. With modern skyscrapers sharing space with historical buildings and landmarks, this neighbourhood is living proof that the old and the new can live together harmoniously. As you would expect, downtown is where all major companies house their offices. However, the region isn’t restricted to businesses. Gems such like the “Paço Imperial,” which is a cultural centre that used to serve as a residence for governors of Brazil, can be found here. Pedra do Sal, a Monday night street party, is also in this neighbourhood. This landmark is the birthplace of samba and is famous for its “roda de sambas” (“dance circles”). Stop in for one and get closer to discovering where Brazilian happiness comes from.
