Great service, awesome 80s music, diverse American-inspired breakfast / lunch menu you cannot find elsewhere in Rio, and a super friendly owner. Gringo Cafe is a unique and cozy place that deserves a visit, maybe two or more, and has many regulars. Try the Eggs...More

I was really looking forward to a nice Sunday brunch but what a disappointment! Service was slow, my order was incomplete and my boyfriend’s order arrived pretty much after I had already finished eating. I had the garden omelette which was quite watery and insipid,...More

Good spot if you want to get away from the "café de manhã" in Rio. The pancakes appear to be a better option. Friendly staff.

Great service and atmosphere, puzzle(?) for kids welcome. Pancakes yummy but contrary to some reviews, do not expect a good example of eggs benedict; this lacked the acidic component, leaving only a drudgy amorphous yellow creme. Packet stuffMore

Gringo has the best american style breakfast in Rio. If you want eggs benedict, it's just about the only place that they do it right! The pancakes are also delicious!

With uncluttered decoration and reminiscent of an American coffee, Gringo café has delicious dishes combined with pancakes, bacon and eggs. Also the tradicional american cheeseburguer with a tiny american flag stuck in the hamburguer bread!

Amazing breakfast, eggs cooked perfect and you can really taste that all of the ingredients are fresh and everything is freshly prepared. Can't speak highly enough of the great breakfast we just had!

Ipanema is considered Rio's crown jewel. It offers the
best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is
inspiration for the legendary song, “The Girl from

high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which
can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue.
The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing
