a very nice little restaurant in santa teresa, offering traditional and nuevo brazilian cuisine. I went back twice. once for a light lunch of salad and croquettes, then for their chicken in passion fruit sauce which was absolutely the best meal I had in rio. there's a nice patio out back to eat, weather permitting.

Firstly, you're in the coolest neighbourhood in Rio, and now you've entered one of the neighbourhoods best restaurants. We chose to sit out on the wooden terrace on an atmospheric night with lightning in the sky but no rainfall. The food was prepared with some interesting ingredients from Amazonia and someone in that kitchen knew how to add them together.... More

We discovered this delightful little restaurant not far from our St Teressa hotel. Despite limited English being spoken, service was excellent and the unusual menu offered a fascinating take on Amazonian food. We enjoyed a delicious and beautifully presented meal. Excellent!

The place is deceiving in looks. But the food is very good and creative. Had the dumplings and duck spring rolls as starters. Main courses wonderful. Highly recommend for a nice, leisurely, dinner.

It was very hot and the eventual wind was not enough. We sampled several typical dishes of the Amazonian region and it was very good. Pehaps we had too much to eat , but curiosity is sometimes a bad counsellor. If you do not like spicy food better inquire about your selection . In the winter time it is a... More

Good food, good environment and special place to know. You can have very special gastronomy experience once they are used to cooking diferent dishes based on Brazilian cultures from northwest. Very pleased! Is is expensive and a dish has no so much food. Usually I keep hungry with one dish there, but worth it.

This place has a nice bohemian vibe. Very casual and unassuming. I emailed to make a reservation and they were very accommodating. The food and drinks were great! I had the passion fruit caipirinha - yum. We ordered crab claws and feijoada-stuffed egg roll to start; pork ribs and grilled steak as our main dishes. They were tasty, well-seasoned and... More

When I think about the wonderful & pittoresque Santa Teresa I cant help thinking about this great restaurant as well. We went there twice, the first time we had the dinner on the terace and the second time the lunch inside. Both times the food was stunning! I deeply fell in love with their recipes and with the pirarucu fish.... More

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
