We decided to go to Pergula because their online menu had a variety of gluten free options. While I wasn't able to make a booking online, there was no problem getting a table when we arrived around 8pm Saturday evening. The manager and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to my dietary needs. Our server was easy to communicate with,... More

Although hot, we were in the shade with large fans. A nice menu with many choices. We shared a pasta and a hamburger & they were prepared nicely. Very good service. Few people at the pool were swimming- just mostly hanging out. People come to hopefully spot a celeb but we saw none.

Check to see what day they serve feijoada, the most famous Brazilian dish. This is a real feast and worth while. Feijoada is black beans with assorted meats. Side dishes include collards, oranges, manioca, rice, and much, much more. Served as a buffet, not recommended if you're on a diet. Feijoada is the famous Brazilian national dish ... a real... More

On a lovely starlight evening sitting on the veranda beside the pool of this Art Decco palace is magical. Sheltered from the wind and cleverly lit, it is a sanctuary off of the main avenue and road along Copacabana beach with the milling throngs. We stopped for late night drinks and snacks.Wonderful old style service and very fresh food. Excellent... More

The food was good but quite expensive for what it is. 30 USD for a hamburger is overrated and can only compare in price to Burj Al Arab or Marina Bay Sands. I asked for a Campari orange juice cocktail and I got a 1lt bottle of Campari and a glass of orange juice. I leave you to make conclusions...... More

We went here for a special brunch just before New Year. The spread of food is amazing and the service is top notch. we have been coming here for years for the Sunday brunch so we knew what to expect. for a first timer, this is a real gastronomic event. The prices can be a bit eye watering but it... More

I stopped here for breakfasts only during my three-day stay and it was a fabulous experience. Aside from the usual overladen tables of breakfast foods and deli meats and cheeses, what I really looked forward to was the great array of fresh tropical fruit. The tea and coffee were excellent -- and that really matters when you are starting your... More

I made Sunday Brunch Reservations in advance but arrived a little late due to traffic. When I arrived there was no problem and was felt welcome. The table was ready for us and we were immediately served wine. The experience was pretty amazing. The staff really went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The food... More

Nice, overlooking pool. Excellent buffets. Be careful with blue meringues : your teeth will be blue for days.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
