The wait is always long so I'll give only four stars. The good news the food is so good the wait is always long. The staff and food are some of the best in Jeri. The shrimp were small due to being right after new...years. The lobster the fact they had lobster was huge many places were out on this trip. The lobsters were very good. We will always eat here when in Jeri.More

The Tamarindo comes as a top restaurant in most restaurant listings I've researched in Jeri. It is a bit on the upscale side, with a "candlelight dining" atmosphere, very popular with couples but also very family friendly - half of the clientele that night were...families, some with really small kids. The name of the restaurant is given by a big tamarind tree sitting in the middle of the dining area, and the tables were strategically positioned to be under its shade. In addition to the nice atmosphere, the restaurant is also unique for its menu, for having a lot of "Asian" fusion items of mostly Thai influence. I am not sure if anybody noticed how Thai food can be close to the Brazilian Northeast, if you consider its use of spices, chilis, tropical fruits, and coconut milk - obviously not much of fish sauce or sweet basil - I think the adding of tamarind, a major ingredient in Asian Pacific cuisine, makes the dishes shift towards Asian fusion. Obviously, the menu is pretty comprehensive with more traditional items, including some of our favorite Brazilian appetizers, like the bolinho de aipim (a type of cassava croquete with filling). In our opinion, all food we ordered was delicious. They were very well prepared and tasteful, as you would expect from all restaurants in its category. My final take is that this is a great restaurant, one of the best towns, and you cannot go wrong going there. My only reservation to fully recommend it is that, as a traveler, it feels more like an international top-resort dining experience and not too much of a more local, authentic experience, making you at times forget that you are in Jeri. Nevertheless, it was a perfect place to have our last dinner in Jeri to celebrate a fabulous 5 days in town.More

We ordered a Lobster croquettes, they were serving shrimp instead because of season/lack of stock. Which was very tasty. We also had a dish called “Vatapa”, well recommend. A bit pricey, but with high standards. Good food, good service!

Amazing food, great service, staff is amazing. Loved it! Will come back tomorrow to try the tuna. The menu has great selection and is worth the price. Best meal we had in Jeri!

This is a busy and pleasant restaurant. The food is tasty. I would not put it on my top list but would still recommend it for a nice meal experience.

This was my second time and I have not been disappointed. This time we tried the octopus salad (not bad but served with balsamic sauce?) tuna and the fabulous shrimps with delicious Tamarindo sauce. The shrimps were just fantastic and you should try it.

It was a great choice when we had been our first day. It's not too ship, but the food and service are good... they have a lot of choices of dishes and drinks (beers, wines and drinks). It is one of the best @ Jeri

I arrived here with no reservation after 22.00 and they immediately found me a table (x2). The service was great, the food arrived very fast. The fillet in crust is really taste and such a big portion and also the fish was good. The general...mood of the place is very nice, in a quiet garden.More
