Exellent food. High quality service. The waiters are very helpful and polite. The atmosphere of the place couldn't be any better.

Pelo Bistro is located at the top of the Hotel Casa do Amarelindo. In a tiny terrace you can enjoy a drink and to relax overlooking the port and an amazing sunset. The food is just decent and the service is slow. It depends of your expectations and your positive mood in order to relax and to enjoy the spectacular... More

Slow service, cake tasted out of date, way too expensive. Warning hazard do not try the lemongrass cream Brule. It is awful.

Well, as a matter of fact, .., our waiter and chef remember your visit. When they saw you almost didn’t’’t touch your desert they tasted it and didn’t detect any problem…but even like that they decided not to charge it on your bill. All our desert are homemade and the lemongrass crème brulée is made with an infusion of fresh... More

The setting is beautiful, the service is a bit shaky and inexperienced. As with most better restaurants in this part of town it is run by foreign enthusiasts and doesn't really deliver the fine dining it aspires to be. Never the less, the food seems to live up to the expectations of other reviewers and it certainly is among the... More

Pelo Bistro is located in a hotel -- Casa do Amarelindo -- in the historic section of Salvador. We have already written a very positive review of the hotel. The restaurant is also deserving of praise. We enjoyed some of the best caipirinha cocktails before our dinner. I ordered a ceviche -- which was quite delicious -- for my appetizer.... More

We stayed at this hotel and enjoyed our first evening dinner here. Moqueca and the steak were delicious. It was a very relaxing and romantic setting. Service also great and they accommodated my young children.

This restorant, part of hotel Casa do Amarelindo, is a delight. We tried "Muqueca" (mixture of shrimps, fish, vegetables and coco milk), tasty but not so spicy, light, with fresh ingredients and with a brasilian Rose Wine up to the quality of the food. If you are visiting Pelurinho and want a better than the local aberage restaurant, this is... More

We were recommended by our Poussada. Excellent coocking. Mix of afro-european. Very good Mocaceha with fish and shrimps.

Lovely restaurant with patio in Pelourinho centre. Good food and reasonable prices. Great wine menu as well. Service is nice but could be a bit slow sometimes, but I've noticed that's something quite common in Salvador/Bahia. Don't miss the rooftop bar with sea view!

We loved this place - great atmosphere with modern takes on local cuisine. One of the best restaurants in Salvador, and we tried a bunch of high end places.
