Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing pastries - we have been struggling to find good food here in Bolivia but were delighted to find such tasty pastries available for a very reasonable price. The tomato and cheese is especially good. The ham and cheese is also amazing, along with the chocolate. Would recommend a visit to anyone in Rurrenabaque.

We have been travelling for a couple of months now in South America and we were super happy to taste some good French pastries. They are of course a bit pricey but it worth it. The chocolate of the chocolatine is very good.

We went to this little bakery and were surprised and delighted by the excellent variety of pastries offered. Between us we tried a selection of savory and sweet pastries and all were excellent.

Based on other reviews we had to come especially considering the breakfasts that the hotels and hostels we stayed at were less than great. I’ve stayed in France for months, so I know what a French pastry tastes like. You won’t find anything even close anywhere else in Bolivia. It was well done!! My compliments to the French owner! We went early in the morning, around 7 or 8a and the pastries were still hot and many were coming out of the oven. There were usually about 7-10 choices. The apple pastry was awesome and the quiches are well worth the $1 (7BOBs) you pay. I don’t think anything was over 7 BOBs which in itself is awesome. I didn’t try any of the meat pastries, but I tried most of the other ones and they were all great. Make sure you go early. We went in the afternoon during operating hours and they were closed, probably finished selling everything. Also, there’s not much of a place to hang out there, probably one or two tables outside sometimes. We took ours back to the hotel and ate it with the rest of our breakfast.

Simply amazing French bakery, offering chocolate croissants and other pastries - you could easily believe you were in Paris from the great taste, instead of the Bolivian Amazon

Cheap and absolutely delicious. I'd recommend the tomato and cheese one. They close for a few hours at 12 but reopen in the afternoon

Oh my, what can I say. The girls on my pampas tour talked about the French bakery during the whole trip, so once we came back we all went there together and we were not disappointed. The pastries are a dream. If you get there in the morning everything comes fresh out of the oven but even in the late afternoon they heat up the chocolate croissants for you. Everything tasted so good it felt like being in Europe. I highly recommend this small bakery. Everyone raves about this place after visiting. It's a must in the small town of Rurrenabaque.

Tried almost everything. It’s just delicious. They have croissants with different fillings: Chocolate, ham, sausage, cheese. You get brownies, quiche, tartes, etc. And everything to a low price.
