We dined here at the Iron Horse while staying at the close by Henry Clay Inn before departing and after returning from a trip on the passenger train. The restaurant is located across the one-lane street from the train tracks for excellent viewing of the passing trains. Seating is available in the attractive bar area as well as in the... More

We were staying at The Henry Clay Inn - easy to walk to. Excellent service and wonderful meal. Two adults and one child - all were happy with our meal. We wanted to be sure and have a table where we could watch the trains go by. The staff made sure we had the perfect table.

We visited the Iron Horse on a Sunday. It sits right beside the railroad tracks in "downtown" Ashland. We were greeted as if we came in every week and quickly showed to a table. Our waiter was very pleasant and explained all the daily specials. Two of us opted for the single decker club and were delighted not to have... More

Looking to get out of our normal Richmond weekend eateries and try something different, so we found this place on TripAdvisor. Awesome, awesome, awesome find! The pictures you may see on their website do not do the place justice (they make it look old and rundown). The restaurant has an "old timey" feel to it with checkered flooring, visible air... More

Stopped here based on trip advisor reviews. Not disappointed. I normally don't care for restaurant chicken, but decided to get their chile pecan encrusted chicken. Very tasteful. The chicken was moist and flavorful.

While staying at The Henry Clay Inn, we walked the short block to this special restaurant. Chef Rusty does an amazing job and the presentations are beautiful. Everything we four ordered was delicious, hot and fresh! I had dined here on two previous occasions while in the area on business so I knew the possibilities were excellent for a great... More

All the waitstaff are so friendly and welcoming. I have had dinner there several times since moving to Ashland since the beginning of December (The Henry Clay Inn) and Chef Rusty has never prepared a meal I haven't liked...love the yin and yang bean soup!

Stopped in for a drink on New Year's Eve. Bar area was full but still good service, with a band playing blues/Grateful Dead type music. Crowd was older, mostly 40's-50's. Beers were about $5, bottle or draft. Cute little place, I'd return to have dinner.

Order the Ironhorse Burger. It is big and juicy. Comes on a Pretzel Bun with lettuce and tomato. I highly recommend the steak fries as a side.

Thank Joe L
