I was nearby El Pollo Rico on a business trip & needed to eat quickly in the evening before returning to my hotel, and found El Pollo Rico via Tripadvisor! I was a little apprehensive at the beginning seeing that it was at the back of a small strip mall and that the interior decor looked like the playground area... More

They do one thing, and they do it very, very well! Their chicken is always juicy and delicious. The place is packed most days, so parking can be a bit of a pain.

There are many Peruvian chicken places in Arlington, but El Pollo Rico is the best. A true hole in the wall, between a used car dealer and a new condo building. They can get very busy and parking can be scarce, but turns over quickly. The other places cook a couple times a day then put the chicken in warmers.... More

Incredibly tasty chicken. Not much variety in what they serve, but their chicken is really, really good. Dining area is colorful and clean but mostly this is a take-out place.

It is a tasty fixed menu. I think is very practical (nothing fancy or complicated) and quick service without sacrificing the taste or the quality of food. You eat well to keep the day going at a Great price for the area. The place is always clean, and it is common to see many people eating in the place. Recommend... More

This is a no frills no nonsense place. They serve the best Peruvian chicken around. Simple menu - quarter, half or whole chicken, fries or yuca, slaw or no, yellow said or green. Limited choices in beverages, but the Inca cola is sweet. Simple clean dining area with an eclectic group of diners. Worth it to navigate the parking to... More

We came on a rainy day and the place was absolutely mobbed. Traffic was backed up outside and there was a continual stream of people. Food was fast and delicious. Cafeteria/dinner style seating and the rice was a little over cooked. Portion sizes are hearty and juicy. There is a lot of salt in the rub; you'll feel dehydrated! Choices... More

Read good reviews on TripAdvisor and weren't disappointed. The chicken was perfectly cooked with interesting spices. The sides were good as well. Couldn't finish a half chicken but took leftovers to the hotel for later. Highly recommend it for casual dining.

We were in Arlington. Didn't want the standard Panera or sub. Checked Trip Advisor. What do you know? El Pollo Rico was less than 10 minutes away. It was pretty full - a popular place. The chicken was very good - a bit on the salty side. The fries and coleslaw were yummy. All in all, well worth it.
