There were five of us and we decided to sit inside rather than out. Almost authentic croque monsieur was a highlight. My daughter had their version of a croque madam sandwich and it looked equally tasty. The service was comme ci comme ça, but all in all, a positive lunch experience.

We used to go to Lyon Hall for an excellent brunch and some great Bloody Marys. Unfortunately, we had not been in about 6 or 8 months, and when we did try a Sunday brunch it just wasn't close to what it had been. In particular the steak tartare was the worst I've had - very greasy and stringy. Also,... More

What I had: Perfectly done Brioche French Toast with Chantilly cream, strawberry/tarragon jam, and whipped butter. Plate came with Vermont maple syrup, but that jam and cream were a heavenly combination. I wish I had been hungrier so I could've finished the whole thing. This is significant because I much prefer savory over sweet; 98 times out of 100, I'm... More

Weekdays and weekends, Lyon Hall is always full. As soon as the temperature hits the 70s, tables outside are full. It is a very popular place, where reservation is recommended if you want a table at peak hours - which includes brunch on weekends. The cool thing is that you can bring your dog while sitting outside; there are many... More

On a recent trip to D.C. combining business and pleasure, we went to Lyon Hall in Clarendon, VA. An excellent experience. The staff are warm, pleasant and attentive. The food is outstanding. The Executive Chef (Matt Hill) introduced himself and we proceeded to go a little crazy......trying dish after dish. (The beer and cocktails were very good as well.) For... More

I have returned to Lyon Hall multiple times over the past few years with friends and family for dinner and lunch and finally determined it was time to share with others. I love the place because the food is consistently good; the servers are friendly and informed without acting like my new best friend and the atmosphere also very welcoming.... More

Disclaimer: realized I do not care for French food. Lol. My daughter and I tried this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. We both enjoy German cuisine, and have learned that French food is not to our liking. The Bavarian pretzels starter was awesome! We both enjoyed all the dipping sauces that accompanied the pretzels. My daughter ordered the gnocchi... More

We love Lyon Hall for the food and lively atmosphere. I'm much older that 40 and don't agree with the reviewer that said if you are over 40 stay away. It is great food and fun. It is noisy so keep that in mind. But, parking on a Sat night can be problematic. Their website says they have valet parking...but... More

I really enjoyed my dinner here, I think everything we ordered was great. I had the potato gnocchi which was really good. They also had a nice wine selection, and even gave us a taste of one when we couldn't decide.
