After a long day of seeing all the sights in Washington, DC, I had a hankering for some pasta, but was not looking forward to showering, get dressed up for a fancy Italian meal. When I came across this place, I was hoping I hit the jackpot. It was right around the corner from our hotel and got really good... More

There is a wealth of interesting-looking salads at Bruscato's, but it appears that they are slated for the lunch crowd. I was there at dinner, and I wanted to try a variety of pasta, and ordered the three-part dish. I'm not that fancy, but getting a paper plate that's covered in spaghetti sauce just isn't that appetizing. The food was... More

Lunch in our neighborhood is a bit of mad rush, but I rarely have to wait for Bruscato's freshly made sandwiches and salads. Lunch is civilized again.

Average deli fare here. Ordered the tomato, basil and mozzarella appetizer ($6.99) and got 3 servings that consisted of one very thinly sliced tomato cut in half, mozzarella and a basil leaf on a bed of shredded lettuce. Totally not worth it. Subs were okay but small and not much meat on them. Probably won't be back here to eat.

Visited this place recently for lunch. My colleague and I both had soup and salad. I opted for the Caprese Salad and lentil soup, he opted for the Mediterranean Salad and tomato bisque. The salads were edible, but really offered no real flavor and kind of bland. The tomatoes on the Caprese tasted like water. The lentil soup was okay... More

The place itself was very simply furnished wit a few tables and chairs. ordinary looking deli interior. But, the food was absolutely delicious at a fair price. I had a cheese-steak sub with fries, came out hot, flavorful, and well portioned. My companions had a chickensteak combo and a pita sub combo and both were very happy with their choices... More

We had Bruscato's cater for a family funeral for 50 crazy picky Italians, there was not much left :) The eggplant was a big hit as well as the Chicken Alfredo The portions were very big and we had plenty to go around.

Cannot deal with a place with posted hours who are not open when they post their hours. They sent out delivery menus and then never delivered. They said open at night, never open at night. I went there walk in for lunch. Waiting in line 20 min to get a miniscule, mediocre tuna sandwich. I don't see what the fuss... More

This is not really a restaurant, more of a deli but you can sit at a few places....the sandwiches are made on authentic Italian bread, but why pay $7 for 2 slices of cold cuts on a nice roll? The soups are not too involved, but expensive. And the made-to-order salad -- fuggedabowdit! -- just walk an extra two blocks... More

This great italian deli offers sandwiches, panini, salads, pizza, and daily specials. You can have a hearty lunch for $10...don't know who wrote the profile and said 20. One of the hole-in-the wall gems amidst Old Town's overpriced white linen restaurants. Terrific food.
