Had Thanksgiving Dinner with a wonderful selection and food from a price fixed menu. Enjoyed the meal, drinks, service in front of a real fireplace!

Fortunately for us we had an early dinner scheduled because this is a place where you want to leisurely enjoy the fantastic offerings. We were taken to dinner by some locals who said "you will never expect this level of great Creole food in The...More

Great atmosphere. The food was authentic, New Orleans fare. Delicious. Our server, however, got our orders wrong. It took extra time. Then, when the bill came, he had divided the tabs wrong. Specialty drinks were good.

Tuesday night, boring right? Not at 219! Live band, hopping bar scene, albeit older clientele. Cigar selection, whiskey wonderland. Traces of buffalo. Worth checking out.

I dropped by Two Nineteen for a cigar and a few drinks on an early Saturday night. The upstairs cigar bar has a good selection of cigars available and the crew behind the bar makes excellent cocktails. It is a bit pricey, but the quality...More

Creole cuisine. I recommend She Crab Soup. Very nice ambiance (looks like the interior of a formal home or restaurant in New Orleans). We had Jumbalia and Shrimp Creole (nice portion size). Food was very good.

Granted, we were only at this establishment for Happy Hour, and we were not dressed elegantly....come on, we're summer tourists today, in a high tourist area! We first went to the basement bar (for which we were more appropriately dressed) but they were smoking inside...More

Housed in a historic 19th century townhouse blocks from the waterfront, 219 has for 40 years been a beacon for the most authentic gourmet creole experience possible outside of greater New Orleans. Executive Chef Marcus Olson has taken things one step further and introduced a truly unique gourmet butcher experience--USDA Prime steaks dry-aged 21 days in house and cut to order to your exact specifications. Your meal is complemented by a 750+ bottle wine list and a massive whiskey selection. We offer private dining rooms in addition to our elegant main floor, and offer tasting menus custom-tailored to your preferences. After your meal, you can unwind in our spacious second story lounge and be entertained by world class blues music most nights of the week. Whether your taste runs towards alligator and etouffee, or to succulent aged steaks, we invite you to rediscover your favorite Old Town institution.
